If we get good Dak then with this defense we'll win this game. If our defense plays the way it's played the three games it decided to show up and we get good Dak, then we win. If we get deer in the headlights Dak then we might win if defense and STs completely dominate, which is unlikely to happen.

Someone should tell Dak that he shouldn't get "pissed" but more "focused". Because he literally could be playing for his extension on Sunday. I really believe that losing to the 49ers twice in the playoffs shook Jerry's confidence in Dak and that prompted the QB search in the draft/trade for Trey. Also Jerry spouting that stupid "we just want to stay on the field with them" crap is not comforting on Jerry's confidence level of this team (or QB). Or Jerry is senile, or both. But if Dak shows out Sunday and we win, especially if we win because of his play then that's going to go a long way towards making big money. JMO.

Lol, but yes if we win 35-10, someone, somewhere will find a reason to complain. if we pull a Dolphins and win 70-20 there will be a reason to complain. Not from me, I'm a great mood right now. Agree, but would change the emphasis of your first sentence, to:.... if we get good defense, with Dak we'll win the game.

We're followed a distinct pattern over the last couple of years, great when our Defense can stop the opposition (particularly run game) and Dak is excellent at playing/managing the offense. The problem is that the 49er's have the roster and gameplan.

What should piss Dak off off is the Jimmie Ward comment, after:
SF1 (Jan 2022).......“We went in there and did what we needed to do: Stop the run and force them to be one-dimensional. See if Prescott could win the game for them,”

SF2 (Jan 2023)......."Dak isnt good against zone"

I agree with both of those statements. Dak couldn’t beat them and he isn’t good against zone. That should piss Dak off. Hopefully he proves me and the 49ers wrong. We need a playmaking Dak and a stingy defense to win. It’s not impossible but it will be hard.

I mean, you are right, people will always complain about something. I understand it's like "Man, why are you complaining if we just won the freaking game", the thing is that this team has accomplished NOTHING in 28 years, yes, its ok to be happy for a win, but it's understandable that people complain on how you win when a win doesn't really tell the full story.

I watch a lot of soccer/football (whatever you want to call it) and a team like Real Madrid which has a good relationship with winning, yes you can enjoy a victory against a weak team, because at the end of they are always there competing for the title, if they lose, you know at least they will be there next year and might even win it all.

With the Cowboys is a different story, because of the last 28 years, I mean they haven't even played in a championship game, we are on Browns' level.

I understand your frustration. I feel it too. I have low expectations for this team due to 28 years and especially after last week. I even picked us to lose against NE. So with the low expectations I am pleasantly surprised when we win, especially win big and not too upset when we lose. I don’t expect us to win against the 49ers, but if we do I won’t complain. My ongoing complaint about 28 years of suckage will continue until we win a Super Bowl. But in days we win I try to enjoy the win cuz I’m not expecting it.

Dak has peaked as an NFL QB but once he retires and gets into coaching, I think he will make a fine HC someday. His skills as a QB are limited and that's why all his leadership qualities aren't enough to overcome his limitations. But as a coach/HC, those leadership qualities will work fine in the locker room.

I am out on him as QB but if he can spend a few years learning from some good offensive coaches (away from Dallas), I would buy stock in his coaching career.

I just cannot wrap my head around posts like these. Dak is not intelligent. As in, his brain is not where the average qb’s brain needs to be for high level success. The best players at that position have the mental capacity to make tough decisions very quickly then execute. Whether you love Dak or hate him, there’s no debate that he’s not smart.

Now you want to take that lack of intelligence and give him a football team!! I would see Dak in the same mold as Ron Rivera. Just a rah rah guy who brings no actual X’s and O’s acumen to the table.

SF is going to come out with the same "stop the run game" and have Dak beat us attitude. They know he struggles to read zone defenses and have the ability to shutdown our run game.

Our defense will need to stop CMC and the outside run to have any chance.

Or we just hope SF has one of those off games every team has from time to time lol
