That was a dumb play call to begin with. No imagination and no deception. I hate this coaching staff.

I hate this staff but I liked that call. Just bull straight ahead and get the short yard. Don't overthink and get too cute.If your OL can't get you a short yard against a weak GB front, then you have real issues. I did think a sneak might have worked better, though.

What would your opinion had been if they, say, ran a reverse to Beasley and he was stopped 5 yards in the backfield?

That and the excellent coordination between Dak and Zeke on the read option TD. It sure looked like Zeke had the ball, then boom there's Dak on his way to the end zone for what looked like a game winner and moral booster for everyone on the O to pull off that long of a drive to win the game.

They are a great tandem for sure. But anyone who thought that TD was a game winner hasn't been paying attention. There was ZERO doubt we were losing the game. ZERO.

You wanted imagination and deception on 4th and not even 1 with the game on the line? The only 2 calls were qb sneak or hb dive straight up with middle, if we couldn’t get the 18 inches or whatever then it’s on the o line.
I’m not against complaining about the coaching staff, but that call sure isn’t 1 of the things to gripe about.
Come on dude we should have did a double flea flicker reverse QB wildcat off the scoreboard to Dez

Just wanted to say that that was badass. I thought he was stopped for sure. My heart had sunk and I was conceding the loss then they showed the replay and I was like WOW. Zeke has seemed a little off and preoccupied this season, but he was on point on that one. Also I'm grateful for that overhead view. At least we had hope at that point.
Yep. Without that overhead view, no overturn. Good point.

Boyzmamacita said 30 carries, and you replied 30+. Even if it is just touches and not carries that is a huge load.

No, he said he doesn't get enough carries. He didn't specify how many. I'm saying he needs to get at least 30 touches a game. I don't care if its too much. He's a running back and running backs tend to be done in this league by 28.

Can you imagine if we did something stupid right there? Then people would complain why didn't they just run it with Zeke......

The fact that we turned around and handed the ball off was yet another failed coaching call.

Just run the ******** QB sneak. You have Dak for crying out loud!!!

We got lucky.

Bunch formation. Defense is playing bunch formation. So bounce outside.

Also i would have liked to see quarterback sneak for a couple of inches. All dark had to do is extend his arm.

If he gets stopped there (which he nearly did even with the correct call) then suddenly you look really stupid trying to take the air out of the ball against a team you can run and pass on at will.

No imagination and no deception. All safeties, corners, and linebackers running full speed to meet Zeke at the telegraphed spot. Any other running back and it would have resulted in a loss.
Right. And if they did something like a play action rollout and failed, you'd be saying "you have one of the best RBs in the league on your team!! Why would you not give him the ball?!?!?"

I finally gave up arguing with the guy, but a Packer fan at work was insisting that they gave Zeke the first down in error. I tried in vane to explain the forward progress rule but the bonehead packer fan wasn't listening. His argument was that since Zeke pulled the ball back, forward progress is where he pulled the ball back to. I hate the Packers and their fans. Makes life rough since I live in GB.

Nope, sorry that would be someone else saying that, not me. If I were coach I would have 15 plays that are completely different which begin with the exact same formation. That would be my goal anyway. If Romo was the tv analyst he wouldn't be able to telegraph anything. ;)

Stop it....this season isn't over with....and what did you expect for them to do in their rookie year? Win a championship? Let's calm down....has Aaron Rodgers career been wasted since he's the best quarterback of all time and only has 1 ring?

Were not winning anything this year. I guess that isnt obvious enough. Its possible to still make the playoffs. Last year? That team last year, with better coaching could have beaten anyone.

He said he doesn't get enough carries. He didn't mention touches. You then said he needs to get 30+. You never mentioned touches, but even then 480 touches would be an insane amount.

Go back and look at some of the greatest running backs ever and none of them averaged anywhere near 480 touches. If you want Elliott to have a career longer than a rookie contract you have to keep it somewhere around 20-25 touches at most per game. There is a reason you have a backup RB. It is ridiculous that our backup RB's don't get more than 1-3 touches a game.

And how do you come up with this opinion? Based on what?

I'm not concerned with Zeke's career......I'm sure he is....and I respect that. But he needs 30+ touches a game.....I don't ever want to see him with 20 or anything like that. If it was up to me I'd run him for 30+ touches.....however its not. Alfred Morris needs more touches then if they don't want to run him into the ground. But I'm not concerned with 30 year old Zeke. I'm concerned with Zeke this year.

My opinion is based on simple logic and reality.

as far as Zeke and the running game I couldnt agree more. Once again the hapless Garrett blows the 2nd half game plan.
