There are some good points in that article, although virtually every player on the team has much to prove themselves every year. Granted, some fit that prove-it category more than others but there's also quite likely to be a different list every year. It's interesting to read anyhow, nevertheless. ;)

that is some weak reporting there. I agree on DLaw, the rest is garbage.

What's wrong with it? Outside of Hanna, I think it's a pretty good list.

Smith needs to show he can have a career in the NFL after his injury, same with Tapper. Prescott needs to prove last year wasn't a sophomore slump, and it's contract time for D-Law.

"We're not going to list rookies - The Cowboys are going to give their new toys plenty of opportunities to strut their stuff." Then they list Tapper and Smith. Dumb. Also added Hanna who could have a career threatening injury. Lets see if he can still play first.

Maybe the article should have been written by Captain Obvious about Tapper/Smith. Hanna is JAG I mean that guy has been consistently overshadowed by the one and only Gavin Escobar. SO if Dak has a sophomore slump what does that prove, there is a reason why the term "sophomore slump" exists, of all positions I could see experiencing it is a QB.

THE LEARNING CURVE

Top rookie Taco Charlton took a turn last week at right defensive end, where Dallas is so hungry for help. Can he look one notch better this week?

Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis were second-team defensive backs last week. What happens in the defensive backfield if Carroll is at least in the doghouse, or if the kid DBs assert themselves even more, or if the coaches think it’s Orlando Scandrick’s “turn’’ to get first-team snaps?

The faster Awuzie, Lewis and Xavier Woods figure this out, the faster the Dallas secondary can be better than last year’s bunch, which as you’ll recall featured free agents who were intentionally allowed to leave based on the idea that their young replacements would be superior.

Oh, and we should include tight end Rico Gathers here, too. That was a good session for him last week. More of the same, please, from the ex-basketball player who tells us he's the same 6-8, 280 from Baylor "except my body has changed. Same height and weight,'' he says, "but more muscle.''...

Then it's not a terrible "list", it's just a topic you don't like.

Man, this board cries about anything and everything.

My top 5 that need to prove something...

1. Dak. Last year wasn't a fluke.
2. Elliott. That he isn't a knucklehead....and can stay out of trouble.
3. Heath. That he can be a strong safety....
4. Collins. What is his best position? RT or LG?
5. Bryant. Does he still love football? Is he willing to put in the work to be great?

Some good focal points...and three are special skill and offensive. That sells seats.
