The most points ever given up in the Super Bowl Era in a 16 game schedule is 533 by the 1981 Colts.
After 8 games these Cowboys stand at 250.

We're 283 away with 8 to go. We'd need to average 35.375 to achieve that infamous milestone.

Now the good news: No team in a 16 game schedule has given up more than 33.3 average (again the 1981 Colts).*

* The 1966 NY Giants gave up an average of 35.8 points per game in a 14 game schedule. Total points given up that year was 501.

Winning!!!

I don’t see it happening, this team is bad but that’s a lot to ask for them to suck that bad

We wont do it. Because other teams offenses will take foot off the gas and rely on run game to kill clock. Unless our offense gets into a shootout, which we cant.

I'm more concerned with taking bets on Corso's enchilada run now!

Without Dak, teams simply dont need to score more than 20 points a game if that so the game plans will be much more conservative. And once they get up by 10 the game is over. I don't expect them to beat that record, although they are definitely bad enough to do so.

If we allow the remaining teams will score their average (rounding up on the decimals) we'd give up 200 more points. That's holding Washington and the Giants to 19 each which we didn't do the first time.

200 gives us an average of 25 in the final 8. Helluva improvement from the 36 we started out giving up.

Best guess at this point is around 455 total or about 28.4 per. That's subject to change depending on the continued improvement of the defense. So you could say the confidence factor at this point is 50/50......

We have a really terrible defense and what stinks is the team made a few moves to improve it, so somebody that makes these decisions is doing a terrible job.
