No Prescott? Guess they got all the info they need on him after working him out several times.
No Cardale Jones either.

serious as cancer...kid
life/knowledge is much more then just making snarky comments to anonymous strangers
will give a quick explanation on how I evaluate college qb's(actually all positions)..
1st I get a baseline..I watch/rewatch entire college games of Eli/Payton Manning, Brady, Favre, Brees and Rodgers when they were in college...without a baseline watching a few minutes of cutups from draft breakdown is beyond stupid/pointless and a total waste of time. anyone watching guards better have watched Yanda play in college..and on and on for all positions
do research...many of the hof qb's have the identical Myers Briggs assessment score.... watch as many college interviews that I can find of the previously mentioned elite pro qb's looking for themes in their personality......after say after 40/60 hours of work I have a workable baseline
then I start watching every interview I can find of the current qb's prospects...then look up college major and hobbies. Introvert or extrovert, smart or dumb. confident or unsure of himself. Love watching how these kids handle themselves on Gruden qb camp. Hate the "yes sir", "no sir" types... looking for the confident kid willing to be himself..2 of these kids really, positively, jumped out at me this year..and it had zero to do with how well they diagrammed plays on a chalkboard
then I look at stats at how they played in close games and on 3rd down or near the goal line...some players thrive on competition while others wilt.
finally start watching games..1st with draft breakdown then entire games..especially close games..arm strength/athleticism is easy..where's their passion? Brady and Peyton Manning owned the line of scrimmage in their college pre snap reads..watch Goff pre snap...then Wentz Pff said Cook the THE most accurate passer in this draft with close coverage...I already knew that from watching him play. Best in the draft throwing into tight windows
finally measureables...height/weight arm/hand size...sparq scores
there is a reason that I ranked Goff #1, Lynch #2, Wentz #5, Cardale Jones #22 Cook #24 and Hackenberg #142 and said this is the best qb draft in over 33 years...it is the result of 100+ hours of studying their personality and watching film
Best accuracy percentage (ball location) vs. "tight" coverage per pff ... Connor Cook ranked 24in in my last rankings...
Wentz = elite game manager
Goff= almost P Manning
Cardale Jones= Elway
Lynch= cross between Favre and Roethlisberger
Cook=Eli Manning
currently have Wentz my 3rd ranked qb....and Cook is my 24th ranked player overall
big believer in watching interviews and full games to get an inside into these kids personality..these rankings are a reflection of that work...a great kid but hate Hackenberg's personality as a nfl qb
.will say best qb draft since 1983

Can you define " elite game manager".
Is that a Brady/ Brees type that wins with cerebral play over elite measurable. Or just a very good game manager
I think Prescott has been full vetted. Along with him, this might be the "short" list of QBs Dallas will consider in this draft.
IMO, Wentz with the fourth pick, possibly Goff. Lynch with a trade back into the first or trade down. Cook with the second-round pick. Hackenburg, Brissett and Prescott in the third or later.
We could draft two.
We could draft two.
Bradford is an elite game manager...never made any team better and never was a good 4th quarter qb(even in college) but has elite measureables/accuracy
Wentz reminds me of Bradford. Bradford would of been a solid but unspectacular pro if he stayed healthy. see Wentz as a healthier/stronger Bradford
Brady and Brees are hungry sharks in a tank filled with small fishes the 4th quarter...always know who is going to win
I'm always looking for the sharks
Starting to think Goff may be their guy. Stuff can change but it almost seems like they are leaking all of this Wentz interest intentionally. It makes sense because if a team trades up with the Titans for the first pick...they are moving up to get Wentz so the Browns get their guy either way.
I am starting to think there is a decent chance both Goff/Wentz are gone at pick 4. No it is not a sure thing but the Chargers/Titans have both expressed interest in trading back.
You could be right. Personally I compare him more to Bortles. Like Bortles he checks most of the boxes you want attribute/skill/character wise in a franchise QB, but you have a guy with holes in his game where he is going to find himself in trouble early in his career of pressed into start. Wentz is an ineffective 2016 NFL QB like Bortles was an an ineffective 2014 NFL QB. Bortles is very effective now, but is still very feast or famine. Even for a guy with a 35 TD season under his belt, he needs work. I see a similar trajectory with Wentz, though I don't think he will hit the 30+ TD threshold as quickly as Bortles.
