This poll is much more suited for Dallas Cowboys fans alone, but other teams' fans are invited to vote in it as well. These are pretty straight-forward, comprehensive choices, but if some members feel compelled to add an "I do not know if Romo will [fill in the blank], BUT..." or similar post(s) within this thread, yippie-ki-yay.

[EDIT] Read post #10 for a more definitive explanation of the poll.

I'm a believer in Romo, and the supporting cast is growing ever stronger. I voted: There is a greater than 50/50 chance that Romo will get a ring.

May the football gods grant that my opinion counts for something ... anything ... on this subject. :)

I said he will, but the man can't do it alone.
Yippie-ki-yay. :laugh2:

Just kidding. ;) Your underlying point is completely valid in every sense. :)

I think Romo has what it takes. Does this team? Not sure.

Pretty much it.

I said less than 50/50 because I don't know if Dallas will ever get the other pieces in place while Romo is playing.

As long as Dallas neglects to solidify the OL, the team will never be as good as could be.

I don't think we can put a good enough team around him to get over the hump in the short window we have with him. He's getting up there in age and i can't see him still playing at a high level 3 years from now unless we get serious about improving the OL.

Allow me to toss in a late clarification. This poll should be answered based on personal opinion of Tony Romo's ability regardless of the surrounding team's talent.

Granted, the level of talent around Romo must be capable. No quarterback in the history of professional football has ever won an NFL championship without a good enough roster and coaching. None.

If there is anyone out there in CowboysZone land who would like to refute that fact, please do so. I will not even reply. Your rebuttal would be priceless. ;)

No. This poll should be answered on the basis that the team around him shall be good enough to win a Super Bowl. Hope that helps.

Pretty easy poll. You can immediately exclude definitely and never. You can't talk in extremes like that.

Play the odds and say less than 50/50.

Well, under that criteria I'd say greater than 50/50. Still need to stay healthy and have a little luck along the way. But he's good enough to win multiple titles with the right supporting cast.

Well put. Need a good OL and a D that can stop the pass. Romo is much better than many QBs that have a ring. I hope we can get one ring with him at QB. It would probably be my favorite moment in well over 30 years of watching sports.

Not to be picky, but sort of a silly poll because I believe Romo is good enough to QB a super bowl champion team, but if anyone thinks the odds are better than 50/50 that the Cowboys will win a title in the next 5-6 years (Romo's age), he or she had better stay out of Vegas.

The odds are never better than 50/50 for any team in the NFL who didn't even make the playoffs.

But it's not and the chances of it being good enough in the short time he has left is pretty slim so it's one of those questions that's pointless to debate cause all you'll get is pure speculation.

Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson was good enough to win a SB so if the team is good enough then just about anyone can

You may not speak in such terms and I may not as well, but it does not stop everyone from doing so. :p:

Well that's an entirely different scenario. Under this condition, Romo will fail miserably! He will be unequivocally outed as the fraud he is and always has been. No chance of winning a Super Bowl at all. No way. No how.

[end sarcasm] ;)

Those two deserve a little credit for managing the game. They played within the system and didn't make the game changing mistake. I don't think any QB can do that.

Aha...that was the problem with the poll...it stated "he will"...not he's capable. You could add Aaron Rodgers and the odds would still be lower than 50/50 for most teams in the NFL.

What debate? Plus, every bit of it is complete speculation. Or do you know something definitive? Can I borrow your time machine?
