There was a Franchise tag and a transitional tag in place, until a new CBA was approved. Now since it is approved, only the franchise tags can be used.
So only one tag now.

The 2 tags was for the last year of the CBA only. Not sure if it will be the same for 2030 when it expires again.

both of these deals should have been done before Zeke last summer. I don’t understand what Jerry is gaining here by penny pinching. 5m$ cap space combined he’s probably trying to wiggle out of them? Potentially losing your first round pick in Cooper and value in Dak by not having Cooper. Losing a little trust from Dak all for 2.5% of the cap?
