The Amazing Patrick Peterson

Corners are more important because they are the ones that make the biggest overall difference in coverage. Anyone that thinks you can get by with bad CBs and top Safeties is an idiot. At the same time if you have excellant CBs and bad safeties you are where we were before the collapse. Bottom line it is better to have more quality at CB than safety.

I like the guy but that was one of the least impressive youtube-highlight videos I've ever seen.

As a professional youtube scout, I must say that was unimpressive.

Send in the next highlight reel.

I agree. Not only did the music suck, but not a lot of highlights.

I was looking for something current.

Like most big cornerbacks, he looks stiff in the hips to me. Might be good in a zone defense playing off the line, but I don't know if he'll be an elite press coverage cover guy who can turn and run with the NFL's elite WRs.

Cowboys need to rebuild both lines in the trenches. Even if there isn't an elite OT in the draft, there should still be a D-lineman we could use.

This notion of Peterson having "stiff hips" is a bit funny to me.

First, I don't agree at all with the assesment that he has "stiff hips."

Second, even if he did, it certainly isn't something that is a huge mark against him.

Deion Sanders had stiff hips. So does a guy like Terrance Newman for example.

Players like Mike Jenkins and Asante Samuel are examples of guys that have fluid hips that can turn and open immediately.

The point is, there are CBs of all kinds, with all levels of ability who have both "stiff hips" and what I would call fluid hips.
