Dallas is using 21 (2 RBs, 1TE, 2 WRs) personnel on 1st down with Witten lining up next to Tyron Smith at Left Tackle. As Tony Romo play-actions the ball to RB Demarco Murray, his offensive line does a good job at providing Romo a clean pocket to step up into. LB’s Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher take a false step towards the running back, opening up a potential throwing lane to Dez Bryant.

As Romo sets his feet after PA, he sees that Chicago is playing a single high zone. Romo’s eyes focus on Bryant as he is just starting to get out of his break and finds separation in the middle of the field in the zone.

Dez makes his break at the 39 yard line and finds a big soft spot in the zone. With 6 Dallas players blocking just 4 Chicago rushers, Romo has a clean pocket to set his feet and throw through the zone.

Romo actually overthrows Bryant by some, making him dive out for the ball. Dez’s big hands help him reel in the ball and he correctly brings the ball tightly into his body after making the play. Dez Bryant’s athleticism makes up for an inaccurately thrown ball that results in a 16 yard gain and a Cowboy first down.

Problem is he's not focused consistently. I love Dez as much as the next Cowboys fan and I do feel he gets overcritized just like his quarterback, but he needs to be more consistent with his effort and route running. Tony also needs to stop turning the ball over so much. Everyone on this football team can get better and they better if they wanna actually do something this season.

Who overrates him? People here are constantly trashing him. Acting like he's some scrub. He's certainly better than average. He's not elite, but he's very good. Last season he had 8 touchdowns and just under 1,000 recieving yards. This year he's on pace for well over 1,000 yards he just needs to get in the end zone.

Romo didn't have a great window to throw through because of Urlacher in the middle of the field. As a result, he led him just a bit too far.
