2003- Miami 40-21- Sitting at 8-3 we get shellacked by the Dolphins on Thanksgiving and finish the year 3-2. Yeah, we went on to get in the playoffs and get trounced by Carolina.

2004-Green Bay 41-20- A scrappy 2-3 going in, flop to a 4-7 finish to end at 6-10.

2005-Washington 35-7: 8-5 and in control of our playoff hopes going in, we mess the bed and finish 1-2 to end up 9-7 and miss the playoffs.

2006-New Orleans 42-17: 8-4 going in, get destroyed at home- let's see if we follow the previous three scripts.

Did I say we were going to lose all of them? Read the posts before knee jerking! I said let's see if we follow the pattern of the last three years.

hey that makes it all better...we just got waxed in near all-time franchise worst embarrassing fashion, at home...and proved again that we really cant compete with good teams

but we're in 1st place by one game over a two teams we dont play well against, and they still have the tiebreakers over us should we end up with identical records...

all is great!

You have a point. Parcells talks about statement games and playing in December and January. This was one of them, where we ONCE AGAIN controlled our own destiny to the #2 seed. We had a home game against a former coach who we knew would be up for this game, yet we laid another egg. This is inexcusable, especially for someone who talks like Parcells and then fails to take responsibility for it - "uh, we just didn't execute." Sure man. It was all about execution yesterday.

Yet, in this game we not only looked lost and confused, all the emotion we displayed in the first few offensive and defensive lines of the game just disintegrated. After the first few drives, I thought this team had turned the corner. Yet, once again, dink and dunk was the downfall for a dopy, and doofus set of coordinators.

Totally agree. I just said this in the State of the Zoners thread.

Seems like every big game that we have played since Parcells has been here we get beat and badly.

How about looking at the title of your thread?...

It seems to me that you've already reached a conclusion here...

How quickly people forget that we beat Indy and went into the Meadowlands to beat the Giants...

we didnt beat them anywhere near like we just got beat, and the Giants slapped us around the first time we played

beating Indy is proving to be not such a big deal by the way...look at their season as a whole on a game by game basis, they havent been rolling over everybody then got stoned by us...5 times they have scored no more than 17 pts now, we were just 1 of them

Interesting. I would call the Giants game last week a "big game". I thought we won that one. I must be mistaken.

We got over confident and sloppy and got owned. Simple as that. To a coach that knew EXACTLY what to do and where to attack.

I said SEEMS. Did you look at his list. They override that Giants win.
