Wade Phillips looks clueless and defeated in the first quarter. Imagine this team with good old Jimmy Johnson back, or a tough minded never give up guy like Bill Cower, or Mike Shannahan...I have to believe Romo and the Cowboys would do 100% better, Wade Phillips is the son of another loser who could never win the big games, his name was "BUM" Phillips, coach of the Houston Oilers teams with enormous talent, never even got into the Super Bowl once.Exact same thing,the Oilers were unstoppable until late in the season and would fold every time.:laugh2:

Wow, what a dumb thread. Bum was a loser? Because he lost in the playoffs to those 70s Steeler teams that were some of the best of all time? Getting to the Championship game is "folding"?

And even though I was a little kid then, I still remember Mike Renfro getting screwed on a TD catch that would've beaten them. Imagine that, the Steelers getting a very questionable call in a huge game.

Do you realize that, before the 2005 season, Cowher had a losing record in the playoffs. It took him 14 years of head coaching the same team for his "never give up" attitude to pay off. The year after he won the Super Bowl, his team didn't even have a winning season.

The last decade that Shannahan was in Denver, he had total control over the team and managed 1 playoff win and 4 losses. Maybe Shannahan's "never give up" attitude won him a couple Super Bowls early on, or maybe it was the fact that he had one of the greatest QBs of all time, one of the greatest TEs of all time, an absolute stud RB, two pro-bowl WRs and a very stout defense.
