SIAP. But does anyone have any opinions on this situation? Seems like this could get uglier and uglier and it will cost Auburn pretty big. Any Auburn fans on this board?

but hes in a mess - I heard one of the announcers say if I were his dad an did not take any money he would have a press conference
Newton is the heart of the team’s success. He’s accounted for 27 total touchdowns and rushed for +170 yards five times this year. He’s the clear front runner for the Heisman trophy. As a fourth year player it wouldn’t be surprising to see him go one-and-done with Auburn, having previously transferred from Florida and joined the JUCO ranks
wouldn’t draft him to play quarterback. Clearly he’s a world class athlete with amazing size (6-6, 250lbs). However, he’s got serious mechanical issues as a passer and acts as a run-first QB with Auburn.
He’s only completed more than 15 passes in a game once this year and he’s only attempted more than 20 passes twice. He systematically destroyed LSU last weekend, while only passing for 86 yards and no touchdowns. I
absolutely could see a team falling in love with the athletic qualities and taking him in round one – but I wouldn’t pull that trigger

Am I still bitter......NAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure I consider it a witch hunt, because there sure seems to be something to the story. But yeah, I will gladly agree that it gets more coverage when it happens with the star of a team that may be in the national championship game and a Heisman contender then it would if it happened to the 2nd string quarterback at Washington State.ConcordCowboy;3703920 said:Good Lord.
During my appearance on the nationally-syndicated Paul Finebaum Show today, Paul noted comments made by former college and pro football star Tony Dorsett about the recent allegations involving the father of Auburn quarterback Cam Newton.
“I think it’s a witch hunt. It’s a modern-day lynching of an athlete. I mean come on. If there was something going on they would have had to know about it way in advance. Why all of a sudden the school gets some success and he’s successful, he’s one of the front-runners for the Heisman Trophy, then all of a sudden all this comes to the forefront?”
