All battles for depth/ backups are important. This team has squandered numerous opportunities when talent such as Tony, Tyron, Sean, and Zeke have missed time. When Troy went down we had the good fortune of having Steve beuerlein and Bernie Kosar.

It's not enough to say next man up, that player has to step up. It doesn't matter whether that player has all of the measurables, the NFL is full of success stories of players who didn't, and failures of those who did.

maybe White and Rush can borrow Dak's guru, who's supposed to fix his problems. I read his guru is going to fix his, footwork, accuracy and his pocket awareness and his glitch. Heck fixing a weak arm should be nothing.

If he can fix Noodle Dak and his many Flaws heck might as well send him over to the White House to fix the country as well.....

I personally hope that they both have gotten to work with Romo some but I doubt it has happened. I think it’s underrated how much a veteran QB can mean to teach them the ropes in the NFL.

People don't just whiz through the PS and do what he did last year, Rush I mean. Last time a QB played that well in PS was Dak.

I'm happy and hope both he and White are stud trade able players in the future. It's about time we have some youth. I think both Weeds and Cassel threw the Vet deal out the window!
I think too many people miss this point. A good backup QB is a backup plan but also trade bait

White will be the 3rd QB. Rush knows the system better and plays well. He is a ideal back up right now. If Dak had to go out I would be comfortable with Rush playing.

Someone is going to give Johnny football a second chance. It would have been the old JJ style to bring him in just for the splash and attention aspect. Maybe SJ will talk him down from the ledge.

During the draft I found it curious to use a 5th rounder on a QB; but, he was projected higher (at least on my spreadsheet, I had him late 3rd/early 4th); but, I love the idea of competition at any any position so that the incumbent works even harder or he loses his job/ranking at his position...I can't see White as the #2 as of right now, but he has enough talent to push Rush along...

...and, to the manziel crowd (I can't give him a first name or his stupid nickname - he hasn't earned that), HELL NO

Someone did give Manziel a second chance -- he's currently playing for the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

I did not know this. Good for him, he has talent just made bad choices. Sometimes good giving a kid millions of dollars and the limelight is to much.

He pretty much wore out his welcome in the NFL, at least for now. He'll have to prove himself in Canada for the time being. If he does so over a good period of time, you never know . . . some NFL team, needy for a QB, might reconsider their refusal to sign him. It could take a long time, though, imho.
