Dak would be the first one to tell us that the bar just got higher for him individually.
He knows and expects that.

The number one goal is for the TEAM to get to and win in the post-season

That can only be controlled to some degree by one player.

However, on an individual level, the bar is also raised for Dak

Two categories for QBs usually directly correlate to winning football

1) Passing TD-interception differential
2) Standard QB rating

If QBs rank high in just those two areas, then there is a very high chance that their team is doing well.
The correlation is off the charts

Dak should finish in the top 5-7 range in both of these categories. Some would say he should be top 2, but I'll be realistic.

That would probably mean
  • a 105 QB rating ....his best was back in 2016 at 104.9 but never over 100 since then
  • a 27 TD-Int differential ...his best is 19, Last year 27 would be top 7.

Go get 'em Dak.
Go get 'em Cowboys.

We need Zeke's numbers to go up and Dak's numbers to go down.
If you mean total passing yards....yes.

That's why total passing yards are not nearly as correlatable to winning.
But efficiency (QB rating) without just driving the bus (TD-Int) DO correlate so well.

Only way this is worth is if there is a SB ring. Likely, will have a new coach (Moore) and no playoffs this year, and who knows afterwards

Call me what you want but I'm 100% confident if we can build him a top 10 defense.......he'll deliver a trophy. Dak's major strength that gets overlooked by many is his toughness and what's between the ears.

Do you really think we arent making the playoffs this year? Joe Realist? We were one game away last year and that was with Dalton at QB and half our team injured.

top 10 defense gives the Cowboys a legitimate chance with 4 or 5 other teams. Doesnt mean we win.

BS x 10.....you know how many elite QBs left the game w/o a SB ring. Besides, even when/if he wins one, his critics will still say he had little or nothing to do with it, I promise you.

We're just trying to beat good teams every now and then because of our QB. Slow down on the SB stuff.

Jim Kelly and Dan Marino didn't need this type of defending.

The list of truly elite QB's with no ring isn't very long.

Kelly, Marino, Moon, who am I missing?

Danny White. :D

I don't think these two numbers matter really at all, as it relates to winning. Especially TD-INT, since that number can be grossly skewed by WR performance (drops, wrong routes) and playcalling (running the ball in the red zone).
