The bargain bin

I would be pleased with Derrick Johnson and Terrell Pryor and Vaccaro.

Johnson is still a good LB and would be a nice stop gap.

Pryor would add some MUCH needed speed to the WR Corp.

Vaccaro is nothing special but still as good a safety as we have had in over a decade.

I’m sticking to my early thread prediction of Elvis Dumerville for the first signing. Some guys who are still out there who can help include;
Bostic/Bowman
Reid/Burnett
Gains/Breeland/Devon House
Terrance West/Rawls backup RB depth
Pouncey
Mathews/Wallace
Ebron

Nothing spectacular but that is where the board sits as far as value and real production.

Up to now and until any of those players are willing to play for NFL minimum contracts and actually come
to interview, all bets are off the table.

Will there likely be some more players cut or released after the draft?

I’m changing my answer to Navarro bowman. The dude still has gas left in the tank and can be a solid starting MLB for the next few years.

I would be very happy if they added him.

Im down for Vaccaro and Ebron, is Vaccaro totally free?

I have to admit, I am totally intrigued at this point by what bottom of the barrel names this front office is going to deliver soon.

Let’s see if we can come up with some names and see who nails it.
LB Brandon Copeland, Lions
LB Jordan Tripp, Falcons
DE Terrence Fede, Dolphins
CB Asa Jackson, 49ers
CB Marcus Williams, Texans
S Dewey McDonald, Seahawks
C-G Jonotthan Harrison, Jets

I just went to the very bottom of the available players left. I bet I can nail one or two.

If we sign anyone that is.

The Cowboys are doing what they’ve been doing the past several years in free agency, waiting until the mid to low tier free agents start lowering their price tag. They’re hoping to get better value by adding a cheaper player that can help the team. Jerry’s been burned by some of the higher-priced free agents.

I remember after a very disappointing season several years ago Jerry talked about all the money he spent in free agency and that it didn’t pay off. That’s about the time the Cowboys started with this approach of waiting it out and allowing all the high-priced free agents to sign before making any moves. Jerry is looking for a value.
