The Battle For Dallas

Heads represents the universe as it exists now, with the last 50 years playing out just as we remember, or have been told. The Beatles broke up. Carter beat Ford. Reagan beat Carter. The Berlin Wall rose and fell. The Cowboys play their home games in a beautiful stadium in Arlington, 30 minutes away from the Cotton Bowl, the park the two teams shared for three seasons in the early 1960s.
Tails, however, is an alternate reality, just one of a thousand alike-but-different soap bubbles at the bottom of the bathtub. Buzz Aldrin was the first man to step on the moon. It didn’t rain at Woodstock. The AFL and NFL still compete, with the Texans proud owners of eight Hank Stram Trophies. The Dallas Cowboys left town amid a heavy financial burden and became the Atlanta Beaus.
Ah, fate – the difference between reality and possibility. Did a coin flip truly decide which Dallas football franchise would stay, and which one...
