The best Dallas can do in this draft

If you play that game.
You trade Collins after June 1st and Smith asap.
Pull the band aide.
It's the max way to free up money and gain assets

How come they got their lunch money stolen by the 49’ers?

They didn’t look “perfectly great”.

Penalties. Quarterback with zero pocket awareness slow to read defenses. We see the same offense every time Dak plays a decent opponent.

Sorry, but the line got their *** handed to them. That wasn’t ‘on the quarterback’.

I consider it a ‘Best 5’ thing.
No doubt.

This is an enigmatic bunch. The talent and depth would seem to be there yet it isn't. And there's two HOFers on it.

Anyway if Collins isn't one of that best five, I would think they would need to cut or trade him though.

I dont think the cap savings is much on him until next year, so he may have some influential front office types in his corner lol....wheras.....we CANT cut him because it isn't worth it against the cap, and we can't have 10 million on the bench, plus it makes us look bad....that whole deal.

In the end I'm hoping that Steele ends up as the starting RT, for a solid list of reasons.

Would be nice to put LC at LG and use the top picks elsewhere.

I know you want a DE but man I'd love to see what Quinn would do with Parsons and Dean in the same defense.

I’d like to see that too, but I’ve gotta have that pass rush. I can find a nice linebacker to pair with Parsons in round two. I’m not sure the pass rusher will be there.

I hear that, but take a look at Dean. He may improve the overall rush.

Paired with Parsons wouldn't be something I'd want to deal with as an OC. I expect people to fall in love at the combine and he is way gone by 24 anyway.

I understand that you aren't winning a thing without pass rush.

Of course lots of developments and changes to come once we see who gets cut and who doesn't.

You're always reasonable and I appreciate that.

This board is going to be disappointed when they trot out

Smith - Rookie - Biadasz - Martin - Collins next season

Cowboys need to get better at Center guard and tackle that leaves no stone unturned . Charles Cross and later in the draft Dawson Deaton hits the tackle center spots make Collins a guard and Terrence Steele your swing tackle

It hurts a draft when so many from 21 contributed NOTHING. Nashon Wright Kelvin Joseph Simi Fehoko And last but not least the two O linemen Ball & Farniok. Whoever Dallas gets rounds one and two this year obviously have to help the OLine and DLine and not as “ projects “ . Help right now. Getting some starters later on is gravy .

My uneducated guess.

No way he makes it past Phillys 3 picks.

Dallas won’t really be interested. He is smaller and better fitted for a zone blocking scheme. Who runs a zone blocking scheme? Philly
Man I really wanted us to pull the trigger on Creed Humphrey last year.

I think the center from Iowa would be in play at 24 if he is still on the board. He might last that long. Centers don’t normally go in the top half of the round.

I'm not touching a center w/ 31 inch arms.....and weighs 296 soaking wet. He's gonna get steamrolled. Let Philly have him.
