who do yall pick out of these 10?

1. john elway
2. joe montana
3. troy aikman
4. roger staubach
5. terry bradshaw
6. jim kelly
7. dan marino
8. johnny unitas
9. dan fouts
10. fran tarkenton

i pick john elway

Joe Namath belongs in the top five.
IMO Terry Bradshaw was a bit overrated.

No QB list can be complete without Otto Graham.

Also, Brett Favre should be on that list.

please replace dan fouts for brett favre , what the hell was i thinkin?

Nothing personal aginst Joe Namath... but much of his career was hype... his numbers were not very good, but his personality was HOF stuff...

Ditto on Otto Graham... that guy was fantastic...

WEllllll....not sure I agree about Namath....

In fact, his numbers weren't good...but I think from the standpoint of "tools" there's never been a guy with a better arm or quicker release...plus, he was a smart QB in an era where QB's called their own plays.

If you consider his numbers within the context of the era...they are good...

There was no West Coast offense...or dink and dunk offense...just about every pass was downfield...defenses were allowed to maul receivers, etc....

Actually, if you look at Elway's numbers, with the exception of the last few seasons, they are rather pedestrian.

I agree about Otto Graham as well...

:)

Yeah...what the hell WERE you thinking?

Now, if I can just convince you to get Tarkenton off that list...

Probably won't get much agreement on mine, but my top five are...

johnny unitas
joe montana
john elway
roger staubach
jim kelly

Jim Kelly was a very good QB, however losing 4 straight Super Bowls IMO does not put him in the elite QBs of all time. Even if he'd have won one championship, I would consider him as one of the best.

fran was a good one juke, permission denied

*L* darn...

Fran was a compiler...he racked up his stats because he was in the league 62 years...never won any game of note...

Post season stats:

71 completions 146 attempts 872 yards 5 TD's 8 Ints

To be a top ten guy, IMO, you have to do better than that in crunch time...

Well.... that's just like your opinion.. Man!!!

John Elway won more games than any other qb. He was my personal favorite qb ever but reality says:

Joe Montana was the greatest.

I'm not a numbers guy, it's all about the win baby, so sad to say but pedestrian is Dan Marino....

Top 3:

1) Joe Montana

2) John Elway

3) Roger (The Dodger) Staubach

The rest are merely in the shadows...:donthear:

i personally dont think any of them were the best. i think they were all awesome but in my opinion Ken"The Snake" Stabler was probly the best

Ken Stabler was ok. If I'm not mistaken the only problem was that he had way more INTs than TDs.
