the best thing that has happened this offseason is not the players we picked up

It's the TO episode...what could be better...he's not going to hold out into camp...he is going to go! He is going to be the biggest problem they have ever seen in Philly when he goes to camp....and I predict that when he becomes that problem they will suspend him...or something along those lines...Philly management doesnt put up with anything and they shouldnt...the worse thing you can have on a football team is a player, a top notch player at that, causing problems in the locker room...what other sport demands as much teamwork as football! that tells you how much he is going to be a problem there...and we all know there is no way that a TO less eagles team can beat us!

Really, a TO less eagles team has been beating the mess out of us for the past 5 years,

Truthfully i want TO to play us, because the last thing i wanna give eagle fans is

Qoute" The only reason ya'll were able to beat us is because TO isnt playing"

i'd rahter him play and we beat them, then him not play and just like 2003 get a handicapped victory.

I can't stand the Eagles. I didn't like them before TO, and I sure don't like them now. However, they weren't the only team beating the mess out of us the last few years. We have pretty much sucked for quite a while now. About the only team that wasn't putting the whoopin' on us was Washington.

i agree but i still wanna return the favor to the eagles, with TO

No doubt. We are getting closer, but until we actually do it they are the better team.

we are a better team now...obviously arent the same team they have been beating...without TO they will lose to us and wont make it past a few NFC teams...namely the falcons and vikes...besides us

What is with the chest thumping? We have done NOTHING to prove we are truly ready to challenge the Eagles. It is just assinine of anyone to say they can't beat us without TO. Crazy.

I hope he plays. Let him cause problems. But I'd prefer to beat them at their best when the time comes without any excuses.

They have consistently spanked our rumps for the last 5 years. Until we prove otherwise they have the bragging rights. What we hope and/or believe is irrelevant until we beat them and take back this division. Talk is cheap and they are the team to beat with or without TO, they may even be better off without him.

The Eagles are the team to beat, no question.

But we have to remember ... We beat the Eagles two years ago with Quincy Carter under center and leading a game-winning drive.

And we play them pretty tough, 12-7, in that loss that could easily have been a win.

Depending on how fast the rookies mature and with depth at running back, I wouldn't be surprised if we took one or even two from the Eagles.

As for TO, the off-season is the off-season. When TO reports to camp, he's going to put this episode behind him and play like he's capable of playing. Now in the off-season, it may be a circus, but I wouldn't place my hopes in anything TO is saying now.

The time to talk is the off-season.

I think the biggest change has been in the D scheme, no longer will we play "occupy & engage" pressure no one and always lose zimmy the greek crap...

Its Parcells taking over on D and finally a real DB coach as well...

Now we can win games without having to pass every down on offense...

Every team you face in the NFL is the team to beat, every game you play, you can lose or win, saying the eagles is the team to beat means nothing, they were beaten last year and they will be beaten this year, the eagles have done nothing to improve themselves while the rest of the NFC has gotten considerbly better, last year the eagles benfited from a weak NFC, This year once again they will ahve to prove themselves as the elite of the NFC by winning, past means nothing in today's NFL, Eagles arent the elite untill they get on the feild and play like it.

i could have sworn the DL in the 3-4 defense "occupy & engages" at least every report i've heard about the 3-4 says that ;)

Man you are reaching in this arguement. The Eagles have won the division and gone to or won the NFC title game what is it now 4 years...5 years in a row? If that doesn't qualify them as the team to beat then the term has no place in sports (which seems to be what you are saying). Sorry but the term has been around for a long time and will not leave becasue you don't like it and in the NFC the Eagles are that team unitl someone (preferably the Cowboys) wins the division over them.

I agree that we have our best shot in years to do that this year. But until we do they are still the team to beat.

If carolina didnt have injuries last year, they would have lost to them again, then who would be the team to beat?

Zimmer did state that the 3-4 is more read and react then the 4-3......

Or maybe its Zimmers view of it......seeing how he could never come up with a decent blitz package.....a half-time adjustment....stunts....etc.

Haley would of tore a new one on Zimmer just like he did to Campo.....

TO causes trouble everywhere.....but he produces everywhere....and thats what counts.

If TO plays....the Eagles are better......when he steps on the field....he plays to win.

We had are share of locker room distractions during are glory years and we still won....

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his arse everytime he jumps.

God I hate defending Philthy...but the fact is that in that run of the past several years they too have had to deal with injuries. They lost both starting corners two years ago and still went to the NFC title game. That is the mark of a good team and it is why Philly is the team to beat.

Philly will be the team to beat, if they get to the playoffs, maybe for us there the tema to beat, but not for the NFC, they amy be the class of the NFC east, but not the NFC, You coudl very well argue that the falcons are right up there with them, phily beat them in the playoffs granted, but that was a teambrand new to the playoffs, against a team that's been there 3 straight, the ealges are good yes, but not the team to bet for the NFC.
