These guys are coming dangerously close to providing some good bulletin board material...

Now, after watching Pittsburgh handle NE last week, i'll be the first to give their defense its due.

But one gets the sense that they believe that Dallas is soft and that they'll bully them at Heinz stadium.

Roethlisberger's comment about playing in the "perfect conditions" of a dome stadium, his jab at Romo, another players jab at the glamour of the Cowboys and now Starks comment that Adams does'nt know what he's in for against Harrison.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
“He has no idea,” Starks said. “I don’t care how many times you go against DeMarcus Ware (6-4, 262) in practice, you can’t prepare for a James Harrison-type of player because he’s an outlier. If you’re looking at norms on a graph, he’s definitely an outlier. You’re not used to seeing that size, that power, that agility all compacted in there. He’s definitely going to be a test for him because for taller players he is a nightmare since you’re forced to get in an uncomfortable position to block him.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

These guys are starting to sound like the Giants did before the rematch at the Meadowlands last year.

Demarcus is more of an outlier than Harrison. This season IS an outlier for Harrison. For Ware, it's just the norm.

so flozell who has been going against osi, strahan and trent cole twice a year for how long and practices every day against ware, ellis and spencer has never seen anything like harrison?

really? interesting.

Jacksonville and David Garrard seemed to be ok outside in the cold last year in pittsburgh.

What about all that BB material the Giants left us before that playoff game last year? Didn't Plaxico say he didn't fear our D to boot? How did that turn out?

What about all the BB material Jon Kitna left before we played the Lions? How did this pathetic team subsequently kick us in the teeth, only to find a dozen ways to lose at the end?

Seriously-I hope our guys spend alot more time mentally preparing themselves for this game instead of trying to dig out BB material. The last 5 holiday seasons have been autrocious not only for the team, but for the fans as well. I hope they come out, focus, and get this monkey off their back!

That does nothing to disprove Starks' point that Flozell has never seen anything like a James Harrison-type player. Harrison is 6' tall, and all those guys you listed are bigger, stronger guys.

But Starks' point was that it's hard for a guy like himself (6'8") and Flozell (6'7") to get a hold of a guy as small as Harrison.

In any case, I'm sure we'll see a lot of shading over by Barber/Choice/Anderson to help out.

Travis laboy is pretty close in size to harrison, and we just played the cardinals. laboy is just a little bit taller.

Flo always struggles against the speed rusher, it will be even worse not knowing where they are coming from. But to me he just saw a guy of the same ilk in laboy.

Obviously harrison is better.

You didn't mention Laboy intially, and all I said was that you hadn't disproven Stark's main point.

In any case, I don't think it's any great insight to say that Flozell might have trouble against Harrison; he's one of the elite defenders in the NFL.

Flo is probably going to need help. Love the two TE backfield setup esp Burnett and Witten. I wonder how much we'll see that?

Anything to get Adams motivated is good in my books ....

Let them talk....

Pitt is a very good team....but they are beatable.

Should be a tough game....but I hope Dallas crushes them....:)

We should see Romo rolling away from Harrison too.

Let them talk their junk. They sound a little too overconfident to me. They are reading their press clippings and believing them.

Let them believe that beating Matt Cassell = beating Romo.

I really think the Steelers pass rush may be more to their deteriment than a bonus in this game. Romo, besides his penchant for fumbling while looking downfield, seems to make big plays while moving in the pocket away from hurries and big pressures.

It might serve them well to throw a curveball and come in with a different gameplan...at least for the first quarter or so.

Ware is a beast and he is the best player on your team. Starks has no idea what he's talking about or what our Line is in for if we can't block Ware.

You hear about our D because it's dominant. 24 points is the most thats been scored this year on us and we lead in every single defensive category or just about every one.

The Cowboys D IMO is overrated. Ware is a monster, I like Williams but other than that your secondary gets torched pretty easy but thats just me looking on the outside in. Our offense is terrible if they could play halfway decent we could really destroy some people but we look to be picking up the slack so hopefully we can start playing better.

I'm looking forward to a great game that I won't get to watch cause work sucks but I'm saying 24-21 Cowboys. I just feel like Ware is gonna tear Ben a new one. The guy is amazing at sacking.
