In fact when Jerry stopped making people go wow is when he went down the crapper and so did our franchise.

Firing Coach Landry ? Wow hire Jimmy ‘ wow wow ! Hire ol’ Barry Switzer what ! Omg Barry Switzer ? You mean the guy with 3 National titles Son of a bootlegger Barry ? Wow …

And then it stopped

Mike McCarthy was a quick fit hire that made $ense .

Bill Parcells was Jerry eating his hat and hiring a guy to get the investors to buy into his MegaWorld Stadium- a wow for sure.

Wade Phillips was a good ol’ boy hire .

So this idea that Jerry is a riverboat gambler - a high stakes gambler is the biggest turd that has been floated the last 20 years.

Jerry is a safe old miser these days - looking to see his bank account explode more and more.

He doesn’t invest money in the staff he doesn’t invest money in the scouts. He doesn’t invest money in the trainers. He doesn’t invest money in the weight room coaches. He doesn’t invest money on defense for that matter, and he certainly doesn’t wanna pay a head coach.

We’ll get the cheapest option available - the safest bet with an outside shot at a wild card just as long as we’re in the “mix”

He’s running Exxon not a Football team.
Just looking for a steady flow of big cash.

At the end of the day, he’s an oil man with a toy - that happens to be our passion since birth.

There was a time when I loved Jerry Jones I used to shove it in people‘s faces that we had the best owner in sports. I remember it like yesterday, arguing with people in bars when I used to go out to watch the games on Sunday as a much younger man lol .
I loved the brashness - bringing in Deion etc
And then it all fell apart - the whole thing went down the toilet after we lost to Carolina in the playoffs on a night game if I recall.

It was right there that I knew we were not the same.
Aikman threw 3 interceptions- team was a mess.

I gave a like mainly for this analogy, which you did not mean in the same way that I am commenting on it. Jerry Jones owns 71% of Comstock Resources (CRK), a national gas producer.

CRK's Friday closing price was $21.37 a share. Jones owns over 200 million shares. Folks can do the math.

Jones is a top dog in the oil and gas industry concerning oil and gas. He thinks he is a top dog in professional football but the past thirty years paints a different football picture.

The way he is pinching pennies I am starting to wonder how successful of a business man he is in his outside ventures. Remember the football team guarentees him a profit every year. The other stuff he is doing not so much. I d love to get a look at his actual books.

He wouldnt be the first asset rich billionaire to have cash flow problems and I not saying he definitely is but he is kind of acting like it.

Yep I was making a Jon Hamm Landman connection lol.
But JJ was / is a ruthless Oil Barron that crushed / swindled small family businesses in that industry.

I wasn’t aware of his stock holdings thx
 
The biggest Jerry Fallacy has two folds
1) He is a risk taker
2) He is a good negotiator
