True

But Payton was just trying to show respect and not run up the score.

Bad example, but I know Ditka said it crushed him to totally destroy Landry in 85, when they beat us 44-0.

Now that game was a franchise low and this Saints game has to be up there, especially if we dont make the Post Season.

I know, which is why I did not take the onside kick as some classless act. There was still 5:16 in the 3rd qrt when they did that. As quick as things can turn around in a game I don't blame Payton at all for wanting to ice the game

The only slap in the face I saw was that we got our a$$e$ kicked.

If they tried to score instead of taking the knee everyone would be in an uproar.

I didn't see anything that S.P. did that was disrespectful.
He played the game to win.

What is ironic is that Ditka a couple of weeks ago stated that New Orleans was the team to beat in the NFC. People chortled hysterically pointing out the old crazy coach gave away a whole draft for Ricky Williams, etc..

Every dog has his day and Ditka doesn't look so stupid now, as scary as that notion is....

Yep.

Kind of like Andy Reid in 2004. He purposely ran up the score and even rubbed it in by calling multiple timeouts towards the end of the 2nd Quarter even though he was up like 35-14 or something like that at the half. I know JJT said Parcells just glared at him angrily in his column about the game.

If theis team has any fight in them they will take care of business to ensure a rematch. I want one bad, I feel like I could play after that infuriating letdown.

Dallas doesn't respond to taunting, name calling, treatenings or bad manners by the opposing teams. It appears that every time some team or player calls
out either the Cowboys team or a player it intimidates the Cowboys. This is very disconcerting. They need to breathe fire in a rematch or whenever they meet the team that brags about rubbing their noses in it.

I realize you can get caught up in the emotions and fail to execute but Dallas needs to learn to take the opposition by the throat when they deride the Boys. I have no problem with the on side kick nor the kneel downs. Both were humiliating gestures of superiority, but the Boys should never have put themselves in that kind of position.

I never saw any more effort nor emotion out of the Cowboys after the on side kick. It should have enraged them to the point where they could reach down and tap into their reserves and made a game of it from then on out but after all of that they could not stop the run and allowed the Saints to roll over them without ever having to throw a pass. This places a big ? mark in my mind as to how much character this team has.

I'm glad there is so much enthusiasm and confidence about the game against the Falcons. I don't share in it but I am hopeful. When the money is on the line I havn't seen the Boys rise up and smite the enemy. The Saints showed the league how a team needs to dominate in a game. If Dallas has any character they will not live with the taste of this bitter defeat but will do whatever it takes to get back to winning.

If you watch Waterboy, about 60% of them sound like that coach. I had a cajun guy last week trying to tell me about a coil of wire, and it took me 10 minutes to understand him and to figure out that a Call (cawl) was actually a "coil". I thought that he wanted me to call someone. But in his defense, he is good as gold- just hard to talk to.

Heck, good for you bro. Sounds like 40 years of pent up frustration going on here. If we hadn't won anything in 40 years I'd be wooping it up too. Congrats and enjoy...

Although I will say this, in 1989 we went 1-15 and no Cowboys fans put brown paper bags over their heads (Aint that true Dat).

But you got a good team now, so enjoy it. You might find when you ARE USED to winning more often you spend less time dogging the people you beat and spend more time planning on your next opponent.

But I wouldn't expect you to know that now, it takes years of winning to understand that. Good luck Grasshopper, someday you too may become a Master.

A coach that goes for the throat, I bet that caught the attention of some free agents to be. What a great call for an organization that needed to kick sand in the face of the big bully. Not surprising it made some of the big bullys cry.

Who knows maybe New Orleans will experience a Giant-like meltdown and fizzle out just limping into the playoffs.

They are talented on offense but defensively they are playing with alot of adrenaline and disguise that has benefited from getting a good jump on their opponents.

Dallas needed to run the ball to keep that offense off the field and for some reason after two series and 130 yards decided not to do so.

Those 30,000 need to go clean up what's left of that miserable cess pool of a city after Katrina knocked the dog p*ss out of it.

Don't sink to their level, just quietly hope for the playoffs and delight in the prospect of a rematch.

And this is not classless because....???? This is highly offensive. If you saw the city, you wouldn't think that.

Football is just a game but you're making fun of people that lost everything.
You'll have to explain that comment to St. Peter one day.

You of all people, the team with the sissy quarterback and the one whom has busy hands under center should not be talking. You will be a 6th seed at best and in most likely already in off-season condtioning by January.

It's not Sean Payton's responsibility to keep the score down; it's Bill Parcells. A job he did very poorly.

Hey, he might be a sissy, but he's a sissy playing good football.

He has like 8 td's and no int's so far.

6th seed? Hell....Eagles are 1 game back and they play each other again.

They're going to keep moving up in the standings.
