I'm glad this is a "favorite player" and not the "best player"...I still can't believe Chuck Howley isn't in the HOF...check out his stats online...I loved the way the guy played the game...he was sort of ahead of his time as a LB who could really move around...for anyone who doesn't know it, he's still the only SB MVP from a losing team, having played a great game against the Colts in our first SB, intercepting two passes I believe.
On the other hand, while I love Aikman and appreciate all he did for the Cowboys, I sort of soured on him in his final years when Irvin was gone...Aikman's game went downhill fast, and he always had a sourpuss look on his face...admittedly, he was under a lot of pass rush all the time and couldn't get out of the way or get rid of the ball, but I really got sick of his defeated look play after play...he didn't do as good a job as a leader, imo, as when he was on top and had Irvin to throw to.
