I gotta tell ya... I cant watch this conference.

"If people say that they are not Brett Favre fans now then maybe they arent real......." (something to that effect)

What they heck?

The guy is ALL ABOUT HIM... dont be fooled

"The Packers decided they were going in a NEW direction in offseason"
Yeah that is why he retired... they told him you would either ride the bench or have to earn the starting job.

I am sorry... this guy is too transparent.

Yeah he said

"If people say that they are not Brett Favre fans now then maybe they arent real Brett Favre fans"

He is all about himself, but never the less, Ted Thompson, Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy will all be out of Green Bay by 2011. If the Packers had an actual owner, not 112,000 owners, Brett Favre would be in Packers camp this second.

Agreed, except I don't think they last until 2011. I'm giving them two more years. Combined record, 14-18. Way to go! It's so hard finding a quality starting QB who can hack it in this league, look how long we had to look. To think that Aaron Rodgers is going to pick up where Brett left off is some pretty funny stuff.

I thought he tried to twist and put Packer fans at the end of that statement?

The question he was asked was what do you say to all the Brett Favre fans out there who are watching.... It was no directed toward Packer fans in general, it was specifically asked to imply Brett Favre fans....:bang2:

Did you hear whats going on in Green Bay? Parents are basically training their little children to hate Aaron Rodgers. Apparently Rogers went over to a little kid at a fence at the end of practice, at the OTHER end of the field opposite of the entrance to sign an autograph and the the kid said said something along the lines of "We hate you" and another thing happened where Rogers was at a celebrity golf tournament and he walked up to a little kid in a Packer jersey to sign his football and the kid turned his back and walked away.

Unless Rogers gets to the Super Bowl, this guy is going to get it from the fans, he won't win. He was boo'd badly on FAMILY NIGHT wait till this guy is facing the Vikings and Cedric Griffin picks him off or he's facing the Bears and Urlacher sacks him, and he fumbles the football Week 6 with a 2-3 record. He's a dead man walking.

Just looking at his body language, he looked a little shocked to be there. He had to kind of force the smile when he held up the jersey.

I think he's been so used to always getting his way, he almost couldn't believe he didn't this time.

This dude has to sit through draft day and that was, by all accounts, a tough day. Then he gets drug through the "i can't decide and/or i won't decide if i'm gonna play till TC starts every year" favre crap. This poor kid just couldn't catch a break until TT stood up and did the right thing and got GB off the selfish BF merry go round. Good for GB as a team and good for Rogers.

Definitely. He said "I'm excited to be in New York" with I think the most unexcited voice I've ever heard.

It's pretty amazing...

I like [strike]Farve[/strike] Favre, but let's have the media stop all of the orgasmic nonsense about his "aww shucks" demeanor...

He's portrayed as the All-American kid. Michael Irvin CONSTANTLY gets drug mentions at the sound of his name. Brett Favre almost never gets mentioned as a Vicodin addict. His problem with alcohol is rarely mentioned either...

The guy has a huge ego and will continue to play the game at the expense of other players...

The bottom line is that he is AFRAID to quit as he doesn't know what to do with his time...

Who is to blame for that? ANSWER: Brett Favre. He could have retired and then Aaron would have stood a chance with the fans. Favre set him up.

Me too. He gets hammered because he hasnt proven anything... yeah because he hasnt been able to play because "should I stay or should I go" was always STAYING.

Me too.... I like the guy but enough is enough with this turn and look the other way when he does or says anything.

Well now he is going to get to play for atleast one more year... I think he will regret it when the Jets are 2-6 half way through.

I like the guy too... we all make mistakes...

But I get tired of the no mentions from that Pack team that won a SB...

At the time, he was on Vicoden... Mark Chmura was banging his minor babysitter...

330 pound Gilbert Brown knocking his wife around...

PLEASE...

I think he tried to play the media in his favor against the Packers org. I think they told him he would either backup or have to win Starting QB position.

He said no and retired... knowing he would play the media against the Packers and get the starting gig via the press and fan loyalty.

THAT is why I think he looked mad today. He didnt get his way this time.

The difference between Irvin and Favre is that Irvin is black, and in Green Bay colour matters. Now anyone who knows me, knows that I'm sick and tired of sensitivity, and I defended Don Imus, etc, etc.

We all know Green Bay is a racist society, they are 30 years behind the rest of America. When I was growing up in Texas, I went to Lambeau with a friend of mine(Who was black) and we got bad looks throughout the town and in the building, and we were wearing Packers shirts(I know, I know, cool it) An even recently, if I'm not mistaken Charles Woodson mentioned something about black people aren't welcome in Green Bay, but I digress.

If Brett Favre was black, his jersey wouldn't be retired, he wouldn't be worshiped and he wouldn't have sold half the jersey's hes sold, John Madden wouldn't rid his jock and we wouldn't have "Brett Favre Day" on the NFL network like we have had today. Can you all tell me why none of the great BLACK Packers are never mentioned? If your going to Green Bay, and your black you sure as hell better be a Packer.

Just a thought/opinion.
