The bright side?

Austin appears to be getting more comfortable as a receiver?

Hahaha. What makes you so sure it's not all downhill from here?

Because Cincinnati is up next on the schedule? :)

That's what I was expecting. lol

I actually told my wife in june that the best thing for the boys would be to lose some games early to keep them on their toes and not get comfortable like i think they did last year....so hopefully this will be a blessing

I am really hoping that this loss will be good for the Cowboys. I am hoping that Romo learns just how costly his interceptions can be. If he doesn't throw that interception, Dallas probably wins this game. I am also hoping that it lights a fire under this team, as they seem to come out flat way too often.

If you're an optimist, this has to be what you're hooping for. Last year's team clearly played its best ball early on. Maybe games like these are needed. I dunno.

A loss to Cincinnati truly would be catastrophic.

the eagles might lose

It's nice but another team losing never really makes me feel better about our own loss.

At least we didn't peak in September.

Good point...lots of season to go, and the Steelers and Giants have shown in recent years that all it really takes is peaking at the right time...

Me thinks the Commanders peaked today. ;)

Only kidding. You've got a team to be mighty proud of.

You have a point which is why I'm very happy but I'm checking that until I see how we do against Philly. If Philly loses to Chicago, they are going to be desperate to get out of the cellar next week. Its a long season and the Giants could very well be 7-0 before they really get some tough division games again.

The Giants are definitely going to continue feasting on some weak teams for a few more weeks.

Who knows, though? Given that that is the anti-approach to what worked for them last year, maybe they start to fizzle against tough competition late in the year?

Truth is this is why we watch the games. No matter what you think you know, this league is up for grabs for a lot of teams. Just not for fans in Detroit and St. Louis. :)
