I am stunned with how well they are doing.I thought they would be a 4 or 5 win team at most this year, but they look much better. They have miami next week,so there is a good chance they will be back at 500.

We will be very lucky if we get a top ten pick out of this deal. That could change if they decide to go with Quinn down the stretch. We shall see.

If they are in the playoff hunt, which is possible since their division is awful, they wont start Quinn

You can probably look for the Cleveland pick to be somewhere between 10-17. I never woulda predicted it to be that late before the season started.

I was hoping we would be top 3.......and if McFadden was gone, then trade down to about 10, add a 2nd and a 2009 4th.

That AFC North was one of the main reasons I would accept the AFC as dominant then the NFC.

It fell apart quick hasn't it. Ravens age is showing. Bengals are injured on defense. Steelers are playing good, have minor injuries right now they have a bye to heal. Ben was been playing horribly today... They were comparing him to Grossmen when their offense couldn't break through against the seahawks...

Browns are playing inspired, but their wins came against their division at home. Division rivals know each other inside out, and Jamal Lewis was carrying them. I wonder how severe his injury is. Injuries is what curses the browns to mediocrity, they always manage to lose critical players and never seem to recover.

I have never seen Dallas getting RunDMC. I see them getting Turner in F/A and a D/T and a W/R or C/B in the 1st round of next years draft.

Dont be so quick to concede a top 10 pick. All Clevland has done is beat a couple of division rivals at home. They have lost every road game so far I think.

I still dont see them better than 6-10:D

I myself will not be shocked to see them doing well...
they have talent, but they have for 2 years running had a string of of bad luck with injuries...this year they are staying relatively healthy...

with a few bounces their way they could be 2 games above .500 or when the ball bounces against them they could be 2 games below .500 but it is a pretty safe bet to think they will finish somewhere around .500

I'm shocked. They've been getting decent QB play in a division that's a lot weaker than expected. Good point above about them winning their division home games. We'll see if it continues.

Either way, I'm glad we didn't waste a first on stupid Brady Quinn.

I don't care how many bounces go their way, they won't finish 10-6.

so which game can't they win out of their remaining games?

Dolphins, Rams, Seahawks, Steelers, Ravens, Texans, Cardinals, Jets, Bills, Bengals, 49ers

I see:

Dolphins - W
Rams - W
Seahawks - L
Steelers - L
Ravens - L (I know they beat them before, but even so...)
Texans - L
Cardinals - L (With Warner at QB)
Jets - W
Bills - W
Bengals - L (I know they beat them before, but even so...)
49ers - W

So I guess I see a 7-9 season. That's better than I figured. :)

Every year, there's always a "surprise" team-so no, I'm not surprised by the Browns' success, although I'm dissapointed b/c I wanted McF more than anyone else here.

I am seeing 7-9 BEST case for them.

Lets not forget, that the Browns are really NOT playing very good football. Their D has been TERRIBLE, and so far the offense has been respectable, but even with Derek Anderson in at QB they are good for a couple of INT's a game.

I really am not seeing them beating both the Dolphins and the Rams. The only games that they have won are against the Bengals whos D is so bad, they could make Chad Hutchinson look like a great NFL QB right now. And the Ravens who's offense is so bad, they can't score a TD to save their lives. Heck, they only managed to beat a Trent Dilfer led 49ers squad 9-7.

We still have two first round picks that can swapped -combined or used for
a off season swap ---and the browns pick willhave good value -just as good as everyone thought

Browns can lose any game they play regardless of how bad the team is they are playing.

Would anyone be shocked if they lost to Miami? Not I.

I actually think that Miami WILL beat them.

As crazy as this sounds, especially considering that the Browns are 30th in the league in run defense, I am not so sure that Ronnie Brown is not the best RB that the Dolphins have faced so far this year.

Also keep in mind that Miami's biggest weakness on defense so far this year has been against the run, and other than his huge game against Cincinatti, Jamal Lewis has NOT been anything special at all.

Detroit: 3-2
Baltimore: 3-2
Houston: 3-2
Carolina: 3-2
Arizona: 3-2
Seattle: 3-2
Tampa Bay: 3-2
NY Giants: 3-2
Oakland: 2-2
Kansas City: 2-3
Cleveland: 2-3
Denver: 2-3
Chicago: 2-3
San Diego: 2-3
San Francisco: 2-3
Minnesota: 1-3
Philadelphia: 1-3
Cincinnati: 1-3
Buffalo: 1-3
Atlanta: 1-4
NY Jets: 1-4
New Orleans: 0-4
St. Louis: 0-5
Miami: 0-5

Of the bottom teams, Philly and Cincy will get out of that mix. New Orleans will rebound too. Those 2-3 teams (San Diego, Chicago, Denver) are good enough to win more games. San Fran, KC, Minny, and the Jets need to be watched. We need them to win. My guess is:

1) Miami
2) St Louis
3) Buffalo
4) Atlanta

And then after that, it's a crap shoot. Cleveland could be anywhere between #5 and #11 by my best guess.

The browns have good skill position players. If they ever settle on a QB, they can be a force in the future. Right now the QB play is to inconsistent. They'd be 0-4 if frye was still the QB. Give crennel credit for having the quick hook.
