This formation always has given the Cowboys problems. TB ran it three times and was successful two times. Would have been successful the other time if Winslow didn't drop the ball. Don't remember if the Cowboys were able to defend it at all today.

They have to get their bunch coverage together. Teams will go to this a lot until the Cowboys can stop it.

What would you suggest they do? The bunch formation causes big problems for almost every team.

if it caused problems for every team then why wouldn't teams run it constantly?

Because then it wouldn't cause problems for every team.

The biggest problem with a bunch formation is that it affects spacing of defensive personnel and often creates natural "picks", for lack of a better term, where defensive players usually end up rubbing each other out of the play if its man and it creates a flooded zone if its a zone defense. Good quick QB pressure will defeat this formation because it will then limit the effect of the formation as the time it operates is less, also if you have good personnel that can jam receivers off the line you can bump them into each other.

Then why don't the Cowboys use it on offense?

Jam the crap outta them.

I didn't see a Cowboy within 5 yds of the line of scrimmage of the WRs. I was thinking the same thing, jam them.
