We have not heard much from the players since the Lions loss. A few scattered interviews, but that is it.

No word form Tony at all since the post game Press Conference. The stuff we are hearing is focused on New England, not Detroit.

They call this, the bunker mentality. It's where you know that you are on a mission and you just want to handle your business. Talking about it doesn't help. So you clam up, sink into your bunker and wait until the fighting starts.

The only contact you have is with those other guys in the bunker with you.

I have a feeling, that regardless of the outcome Sunday we're going to see more of this going forward from this team. I am neither entirely for it nor against it. I think it can serve a purpose and hopefully this purpose as it pertains to this game is a focused, united team ready to come up out of the bunker and fight.

Tony said what he needed to then shut up; when you screw the pooch that bad that is what you SHOULD do.

Not many of our players exactly shined that much in that game; some made both good and bad plays. No one exactly scorched it all game long.

When you blow a game that badly, you should shut up.

I am more in favor of them not saying much versus Crayton's soundbites, etc.

BTW - The Cowboys win Sunday. Brady will be driving for the go ahead score at the very end when Scandrick makes a pick.

Pretty much as soon as we got rid of Crayton, TO and Bobby - A lot of the media leaks and yaking to the media stopped.

I've seen it too, although I wonder how much is bye week indifference from the media. In the end I think it's a two-edged sword. Organizationally (outside of football or in) if you prioritize only internal contact, it's not that difficult to lose touch with reality if you're cutting off external contact. I'm also not a huge buyer of the value of "us-against-the-world" mentalities. I think it's a cheap motivation that quickly turns to despair when things don't go your way immediately.

But if it's channeled into focus and attention to detail - ignoring the noise - then it can be immensely healthy. I still think Garrett's a guy who can take advantage of that.

I am all for keeping tight lips and focusing on the job ahead. Crying to the media never does any good.

I mean it's not like there's a whole lot to say.

Lets call it what it is, just shutting up and going forward. Nothing more nothing less, its not something thats going to score more tds for you, or focus better on the game. Its the mere fact you dont have a right to say anything because you cant defend the team in any aspect.

Frankily all these teams doing bad should have a profound aspect on the players and fans in the light of the shortened offseason and what it can do to hamper teams. But if it doesnt, than you cant use it as an excuse and i dont really want to hear the injury excuse either. It doesnt help in closing games and thats what the Cowboys are doing, not performing the closing part of the game.

Is he in a bunker or on a tee box?

Gimme a sand wedge and I'm cool out the bunker

I've never really even cared for athletes to be interviewed. Most say the same thing or end up saying something stupid. It serves no purpose. Did the hounds get off Tony after he talked and said it was his fault, of course they didn't. There wasn't much point to even going up there. For me the less the players talk the better. JMO

Man is that ever a contradiction in terms. Getting Tony's autograph then slapping a Turnover sig on it. Maybe it's not yours and my bad if it's just a pic, but if it is yours and you thought enough of him to ask for it and he was nice enough to give it to you why deface it like that?

I don't understand.

I photoshopped some pictures together.

Notice the signature has a shadow.

Yep. As my father often told me "You look but you don't see and you listen but you don't hear."

Sorry.
