First i want to say these are just some thoughts.

I wanted to start this off different but i had a vision and wanted to share it. Woods will have a pick 6 Sunday night........I know it sounds crazy seeing as Jones and Heath are the starters and we have no idea how much Woods will play but the football gods decided to show me part of the future. Which leads to the title The calm before the storm.

This offseason has had a ton of distractions, from suspensions to injuries. Mostly to our rookie class and the only one drafted to stay healthy is perhaps the most important one and one that got a lot of hate from posters in Taco Charlton (who keeps getting better each week). We also had other incidents like with Wilson. Everybody knows about the Zeke situation and after the ruling today it seems all distractions have been lifted.

Most experts on tv kept saying Dallas wouldn't make the playoffs cause Zeke would be sitting the first 6 games. Now we know he is available and its something else that will hold us back. I'm a positive guy and maybe to the extreme when I'm much more a homer then a realist. They keep saying the Giants are too much for Dallas, we lost our LG and RT, we almost completely revamped our secondary, no pass rush, LBs are an injury waiting to happen. It's been said the Giants defense is so great that Dallas can't score on them and went as far too say we only will score 3-13 points total. Giants receivers are too talented and will run wild. Jenkins and Collins will shut down our passing attack. Even their coach is saying no matter who runs the ball there will be no room to work, he doesn't know our secondary names and said that the Giants will be practicing in February.

With all that said our Dallas Cowboys have been silent. They have been focus and working to get better. Since the end of last season Dallas has heard all the noise and disrespect they are getting. Players like Jenkins and Norman (who isn't playing Dallas this weekend) has talked crap about Dez and i have to give him credit for being professional and showing that Cowboys class........he looks good too, healthy 100 percent, on the same page as Dak and looks fast and strong.

To make a long story even longer i feel a sense of calmness right now. I'm not hyped up like i usually am. It's like a confidence that i know the outcome already. Like an undefeated Mayweather taking on his next opponent.

We will win this game and even though it's a division opponent that usually plays a close game i see a blowout. I see a murder, a statement game, a coming out party that will slingshot us all the way to the big game in Minnesota. Let's use all this hate and all this talk about how bad we are. About how bad our defense is and wreck havoc on the league. Make them fear us. Channel the past legends of Irvin, Too Tall, Emmitt, Staubach, Lilly, Renfro, Dorsett, Manster and and any other legend you want to include. Add our names to that list Dez, Dak, Zeke, Lee. Let's go get our trophy and bring it back to where it belongs.......

You tell the league, you tell the Giants that we are coming and we are bringing hell with us

I always get anxious and the Gints have owned us lately. I don't like that but I generally feel good about the game. Dallas wins in the 4th qtr.
I could see that happening. I think the Giants and the experts don't realize how much losing Hankins will hurt them. They keep saying Snacks was the reason but that is false. I watched the Browns run right up the middle on them in preseason

Some believe the Giants upgraded when Hankins left.
We upgraded also. I think JSmith has a chance to be a revelation
because this kid is going to be jacked and they'll us him to his advantage.
It's really going to be a head bustin snot slingin fight to the bell.
Dez catches that contested over the shoulder smart bomb that makes grown men cry.

Hankins was the one that gave our interior issues. Snacks is just the more popular name but he wasn't the force Hankins was.

I could see Zeke running for over 200 yards and a couple of touchdowns. This man and the team overall are going to be playing pissed. I don't blame obj for sitting this one out. Directly or indirectly people involved with the Giant's tried to screw the Cowboys over. They thought it would be there chance to win the east. They made their pact with the devil. Time to pay up.

Hankins was the space eater that helped them stop the run game. Snack is not the runstopper that Hankins is.

I think this first game will tell us a lot about the TEAM - where are they emotionally and mentally?

Thinking back a few weeks, there has been very little from the the players other than their focus on the task at hand in preparing for the season. I suppose that is what you would expect them to say and do. Jerry Jones in particular, has been especially quiet, which I find odd given the opportunity to grab headlines.

While the media and most NFL fans have been enraptured with the blow-by-blow events surrounding Zeke, what may have been missed is how this could unify the team.

I know, I probably sound like a cheesy half-time speech, but media blitz aside I am very optimistic about this team and it's potential.

I hope that the OLine and Zeke have a chip on their collective shoulders....I can see a 33-23 type of win, but it will all hinge on ball control for Dallas and if our defense can crete that "duuuuhhhhh" look on manning's face in disbelief

Go Dallas!
