although that music surely sucks

932 Yards 7 TDS 4.4 yards a carry this year I would buy everyday.

But I thought that being the starting RB of the Dallas Cowboys comes with the notion that you shouldn't be starting.

I'd like to see Barber be 100% healthy, and when he is, don't dance so much in the backfield. If he would just get to the hole and hit it, then there would be a lot less hate for the man.

Right and how old are these highlights? Love what Marion has done for the Cowboys, but the NFL is a "what have you done for me lately" league, and ever since he had his toe injury, he hasn't been the same.

I think some of those were from last year. And really, most NFL fans are a "what have you done for me lately" type, not the league. That is why Roy will still be on the team, and so will Barber.

If the league is "what have you done for me lately," how does that warrant Roy and Barber on the team for next year like you said?

Barber will still be with the team because hes our best on blitz pickup, our best receiving RB, and our best short yardage and goal line back (although Choice is starting to come close there). He has never been a hugely explosive player, but he has always produced and has done so the last two seasons as well despite numerous injuries which have hobbled him in games.

Looked at realistically, 900 yards and 7 TDs is good production from a RB, not great but at least good. The only reason we're disappointed with that performance is because we got spoiled by him putting up 10+ TDs a season for a little while there.

He remains the best RB we've had since Emmitt and will likely wind up pretty high on the list of Cowboys RBs when all is said and done.

Barber is bad in short yardage. I have no idea why people say he is good. He hesitates too much. Choice is a much better short yardage back.

Barber was bad in short yardage THIS YEAR, however I attribute that to the plays being called in those situations. None of our RBs were particularly good in short yardage.

When you try to run at the center of the opposing D-line on every time, what do you think will happen? I think we all saw this year that we were best running off tackle, but we almost never did that in those situations.

As for Barber's hesitation? I think the coaches have made him take it easy some to try and prolong his career. The guy is a huge competitor and has shown a full willingness to kick the crap out of any would be tacklers in the past, I don't think hes just suddenly lost that.

Actually you said the "leauge" is "what have you done for me lately" in your first post. He said the fan base is but the league isnt in his reply.

Unless you meant to ask yourself that question? Sorry, just not following what you're asking.

I love Barber, but it is time for them to readjust his role for the team or trade him, yes I agree he was not healthy, but I still say that he has hit that proverbial RB wall to where now he is on the downside of his career, because of his running style, he seeks to destroy and that is not a good style for a very long career, BUT if they revamp his role and lessen the carries switch his carries and Choice's then MB3 can and may reappear.

Choice is a more instinctive elusive runner, more patient better vision, he does not take as much punishment as Barber and he certainly does not seek it out like the old Barber did.

Revamp Barber's role or trade him for what we can get for him, by himself or package him with someone else to get more/

But it is time for T. Choice to get his chance to build on what we as fans and the team already knows he can do.

Barber's role has been adjusting as the season went on. Towards the end I think you saw more confidence in Jones' ability to stay healthy with a heavier workload and position himself to take over as starter next season.
