I'm liking Alan Ball, haven't noticed DeAngelo Smith one way or the other. Courtney Brown is awful, and all reports have said he's been that way in camp. Mike Mickens is meh.

By and large, I don't particularly like our defensive depth. Our backup linebackers, save Carpenter, are mostly rookies (the two Williamses and Butler). We have a handful of unproven backups in the secondary. Hatcher, Bowen and Siavi (sp?) aren't world beaters up front.

I like our starting defense, but we're incredibly thin imo. As we are up front on offense.

Well they're young guys, you can't expect but so much consistency right now.....

Well our second unit, at least the secondary, has been pretty terrible.

the backup DL's (all of them) look pretty sad to me so far.

I mean more on an individual basis than on how they play collectively. Yeah, I don't expect them to play cohesively as a bunch, but I would like to see individual performances of note.

Our young defensive depth concerns me. As does our offensive line depth. Otherwise, I generally like the roster all around.

I said earlier that I think the Cowboys may bring back Pacman and was later advised that it wouldn't happen. After that last drive, it might be a good consideration because the secondary was horrid.
