LOL, yeah, after 4 years. He was getting away with it the entire time. Which cracks me up.Seems like the NFL has finally figured out what it means.
It still shouldn’t be banned.

I mean I don’t care either way. I wondered why they let him do it this long.
Break it down.Do the DX celebration
i think the ball spin woulda got you finedIts too bad i never made it. My premeditated celebration was a ball spin, then kick it into the stands, followed by a deep pelvic thrust towards the opposing teams bench.
Its a bit of a to do, but would've been off the chain.

Helmet off was WittenAnother "Cowboys," rule. Helmet off on field, Emmitt Smith. Whipping a lineman with hands to face, Erik Williams. Hirescollat, Roy Williams... how many others am I missing?
It is apparently referencing a gang sign. What!?! Okay call me stupid, well actually don’t it hurts my feelings, but what’s wrong with that celebration. Does it mean something I am not aware of? I always took it as him wiping his nose. Is there a deeper meaning there or something? I truly don’t get it.
Smith's was taking your helmet off on the field. Witten's was advancing the ball when your helmet comes off, which he did on one of the gutsiest plays of all time.Helmet off was Witten
They’re also the creepiest commissioners everRoger Goodell and Adam Silver are the worst commisioners ever
Oh okay, that I didn’t know. ThanksIt is apparently referencing a gang sign.
my point was simply saying... I dont like the celebration, so I am fine with them banning it.I think violating the constitution might be a bit extreme here...It's certainly fair to argue that the NFL is overreaching, but they have never been shy about banning gestures with gang and violence related roots. From my understanding this gesture is a little bit open to interpretation, but still falls within what they have outlawed in the past. This is extremely low on my list of issues with the NFL rules.
