The Constant TO Comparisons

It's inevitable I get that. Just a few things that are funny to me. First off Gruden and Steve Young were going into overdrive about "who would produce offense/big plays" a little too much... I understand that we didn't score in the first half and only scored one TD but it's a huge contradiction

observations..

1. What the hell did we accomplish WITH T.O.? ( in big games etc.) All the criticisms of our team the last couple years.. lack of heart, lack of leadership, poor chemistry.. even Romo's bad games, no playoff wins.. HAVING THE CANCER WHICH IS TO HIMSELF? TO was right in the middle of all of these criticisms. was he not? And didn't he have 7-8 4 or below catch under 50 yard games HERE IN DALLAS LAST YEAR?

2. He's 36 now and what exactly is he doing in Buffalo?

3. What about chemistry? Why ignore that now?

4. What about our running game and the playmakers we do have....? I think we do have explosive players.. Has the Tampa game been ignored? We ran up and down the field vs. a good Giants team. Say what you want but RW is NOT slow ... and is only going to get more comfortable with Romo..

We've scored 34,31 and 21 points now leaving a lot of points on the field.... enough with TO at some point.. we under achieved WITH HIM..

The TO slobbering was very annoying. You notice they didn't mention his 0 catch performance.

I agree with them that no single person will put up the numbers that TO did but this game is about winning and if Dallas can do that by getting more people involved instead of focusing in on 1 or 2 players then maybe we will be better off in the end.

Definately got sick of the comparisons. And what he would of done had he been there.

So, big deal. 34td's in Dallas. Still no Rings. Who cares. He also dropped a grip of passes while being in Dallas. Funny how that wasn't mentioned as well.

Media has to talk about something I guess.

ESPN searched for negatives last night. Especially when we had a bad play.

I didn't hear their TO cries either when we put up 60 + in 2 games.

What gets me is many of them are the same one who were hollering how Dallas needed to get rid of him

That was ridiculous last night. It would be different if TO was actually doing something this year.

He is done!

Yup ..... all they keep saying is that we have no one who can replace Owens production.

Owens has 5 catches for 98 yards and 1TD in 3 games.

We have 2 receivers who have replaced that production.

Roy has 8 catches for 179 yards and 1TD in 3 games

and

Crayton has 8 catches for 183 yards and 1TD in 3 games

SO we have 2 who are outplaying Owens right now.

:laugh1:

The comparisons was overkill.

He is no longer Cowboys, so need to mention him.

Yet we are not considered near as explosive as we have been in previous years. I don't get it.

exactly, i dont mind at all when people bring up TO because I know it means they can find nothing else wrong and are grasping at straws.

Great points

like I said, all the more reason TO needed to go, we are better off without him in long run regardless of what happens this year.

It was overkill to the point where Gruden asked "Would TO have caught that" referring to RW's dropped fade....

Even Gruden himself and the rest of the booth had to chuckle at the TO name drop at that moment.

The media just has to follow certain scripts. Winning is the cure.

My 1st reaction was Hey Gruden were you not the one who benched Keyshawn a big part of your offense in TB and then ran him out of town?
