“Washington is a much better defense than NY and will be their first real test”

*Obliterates Washington*

“Washington was terrible so that doesn’t count, they better destroy Miami or they aren’t for real”

*Destroys Miami*

“They struggled for a half so that doesn’t count, the Saints are their first real test”

And so it goes. If we beat NO, the narrative will shift to “well they didn’t have Brees so that doesn’t count”.

The point is they’ll never be satisfied, so don’t sweat or buy into the narrative.

don't remember anyone saying washington was a test.

and "they better destroy Miami or they aren't for real" isn't the same as "if they destroy Miami they are for real".

I take comfort in the fact they've played at a high level and looked great. I don't fault anyone being skeptical based on the easiest schedule this side of the Patriots thus far.

I don't recall others saying Washington would be a test, either, but there were quite a few who said NYG and Washington would be tough because they're divisional rivals and that the games would be close. They were, for about one quarter. I'm not ready to pronounce that they're the best in the NFC quite yet, but I feel much better with how they've routed weak sister opponents rather than just squeaking by (or worse, losing any of them).

I mean the media isn't wrong. This will be our first real test but it's also not a true test as we are facing a Brees-less Saints team.

I am not sure why some of you get your panties all twisted when what's being said isn't exactly irrational.

Does anyone care what the media thinks? They have 0 say over the success of the season and some react to what is required of all of these media outlets, someone has to take the "trash the Cowboys" approach to appease a certain faction and someone has to be onboard. It is a tired template but it works, look how many get their words repeated here.

“They only beat the Saints because Brees was out”

“They only beat the Packers because Adams was hurt”

“The Jets?? LLLOOOLLL”

“Only beat Philly because of injuries and it was in Dallas”

Most of the narrative the next few weeks

I'll believe it when they get to NFC championship. Ive been on this ride before.

yeah I’ll never be upset with a convincing win, especially in division. I’m just not sure if they’re really good or really great yet. Good problem

...and when Dallas beats the Saints. Its going to run with Brees was not there or Payton had the runs or the stadium lights weren't working correctly.

The haters will hate, the doubters will doubt, the jealous despise us and the detached won't love us. Solution: Just Keep Winning!
