I am pleased with the defense. They played a great game. No TDs allowed to Barber, Shockey, Burres or Toomer. The schemes confused Eli and left him with a worse rating than Bledsoe for the game.

Glenn had a great game and Ferguson showed some push up the middle. I think he was cheated on a couple of non-holding calls.

If I had to say someone had a poor game, I would point to Shanle. He let a couple of guys into his zone on passes and didn't fill holes quick enough on a couple of runs. Other than that, he had a solid game, too.

Fujita finally kept outside containment on running plays. That was all I hoped he would do the rest of the season and he did it today.

The Giants offensive line did much better than ours - no surprise there. But, there were literally three or four times they got away with holding at it was never called - multiple times to Greg Ellis where he just blew by his man with the guy hanging on to him from the back while trying to rush Eli.

Defensively the Cowboys played a solid game (especially early on), however benefited greatly by Manning being so inaccurate.

He's always been inaccurate. He just gets a free pass because he's a Manning. Sure, he can make all the throws. But when he's under pressure, he still isn't even marginally close to being as hyped up as he is.

I realize that.

He has a hard time making the reads, looking off, making accurate throws even if he doesnt have a defensive player in his face. I have seen it all season.

Agreed.....I love this defense, and I cannot wait to see how much better they play when the offense is helping them out by putting points on the board!

I am very impressed with our defense. We have played great all season defensively and just continue to get better, Tiki had 100+ but he averaged under 4 ypc at 3.8. He also did not get into the endzone, which is also good. We held Eli to 0 TD's and they tried to pick on Glenn, but Glenn was the one doing the picking with 2 ints. We have a great defense, lets see Larry Johnson beat this!!!!!!! The chiefs only have 2 offensive threats, Johnson and Gonzalez, We shut down Shockey, who is by far having a better season than Tony G.........I think we can shut down Tony G. Also we can shut down Larry Johnson, we have shut down better backs than him, and we can hold him as well. We will be 8-5 heading to WSH

You're forgetting an important point. Shutting the other team down does not lead to victories, unless you score more points than they do.

Yes, it was definitely Fujita's best game as a Cowboy. He still hasn't shown much of his blitz abililty yet but I have hopes for him as a ST player and depth.

I was just about to say that, we must get Bledsoe protection and allow room for Jones and Barber to make plays

I would like to beleive the Dallas D had a hand in that because he had people in his face. Granted some bad throws he had a clean pocket. I am wondering about the conditions because Manning and Bledsoe both looked bad. The only good pass I saw was the TD to Glenn.

Manning is an inaccurate passer. The defense put some pressure on him and the line got into pass lanes. The schemes confused him and the receivers. They would read plays differently and that would lead to incomplete passes. I give the defense more credit for his poor completion percentage percentage than I do Eli.

The KC running game is a MACHINE. We might be able to shut down one player...but you can't "shut down" a healthy KC o-line all game.

The defense is stout. We still lack a consistent pass rush without selling out on blitzes. We need an OLB opposite Ware who can come off the edge. And hopefully Ware improves over the summer and comes back stronger next season.

Thats what everynoe has been saying all year and every week we do it. At least KC is 1 dimensional.

Our pass rush still is not good enough to be considered elite, but with the addition of a another pass rushing threat opposite of Ware and we will surley be closer to that status. Question can Thorton be that guy? I know he is hurt this year, but can he play in coverage, is pass rushing skills are already proven.
