There are 15 other teams in the NFC with the Cowboys. The Cowboys have faced 13 of the other 15 teams in the post season. The matchup next week with the Giants reduces that number to 1 team that they have never met. As amazing as it sounds the Cowboys and the Giants, two very successful franchises, have been in the league 48 years together and have been division foes in 45 of those years, but have never met each other in the post season.

The other team they haven't faced in the post season, just doesn't have much post season history to even try. The New Orleans Saints have never met the Cowboys either.

Here's how the Cowboys have fared against the other 15 teams in the NFC.

Cardinals...0-1
Falcons...2-0
Panthers...0-2
Bears...2-0
Lions...1-1
Packers...4-2
Vikings...4-2
Saints...0-0
Giants...0-0

Eagles...2-1
Rams...4-4
49ers...5-2
Seahawks...0-1
Buccaneers...2-0
Commanders...0-2

Found an error here. The Cowboys are 0-1 against the Niners in the playoffs, just ask ESPN Classic.

Yes 0-44 but that was in the regular season. We lost to the Rams in the playoffs that year 0-20.

Interesting that we have faced the Rams more than any other team in the playoffs (8 times, 4-4). We tended to blow them out while they beat us in close games for the most part. The losses to them in 1976 (14-12) and 1979 (21-19) were killers.

The other losses were in 1983 (24-17) & 1985 (20-0).

We beat them in 1973 (27-16), 1975 (NFC Champ 37-7), 1978 (NFC Champ 28-0), & 1980 (34-13).

That was a very good rivalry we had with them throughout our 20-year winning streak.

The Rams are also the only team with more than 2 wins.
