True but irrelevant. Teams in the NFL are cyclical. Periods of up, down, and mediocre. Let's see how long the Lions remain relevant. The Lions have to pay a premium to keep their players. The Lions will be drafting around 28. Year after year and that starts to take a real toll.

I'm sorry but I won't stand for such nasty talk @RustyBourneHorse

have you seen our Dr. Pepper and Ford and Wrangler sponsorship deals?

AT&T subscriptions are through the roof!

we're the richest and therefore best team in the world!!
I drink Coke, drive an Acura, use Verizon for my cell phone service, and wear Levi's.

Still love the Cowboys, but glad to support some of Jerry's competition.

Anything can change with the right coach and QB in place. I don't know that Goff is the QB of the future in Detroit, but the results don't lie. 1 seed this year. Entered the playoffs banged up and ran into a hot Washington team. NFC Championship last year, and a hairs width away from a Super Bowl appearance.

Let me ask you this. What were the Patriots before Belichick?

We have to face the facts. The Detroit Lions have had more playoff success in the last two years than Dallas has in 30. They have a promising young team and are primed for a run for the next 2-3 years, and maybe longer. Tough pill to swallow, that one.

Exactly, and they were 0-16 in 2008. Look where they are now.

You never can tell what's going to happen. Washington had been worse than us for the last 30 years and are staring down an NFC Championship....against the Eagles. Proper coaching and management makes all the difference. Unfortunately I don't think Jerry's ego will allow him to acknowledge this. Very unfortunate.

The Cowboys are a DISGRACE! I have no other words to describe how FURIOUS I am at Jerry and this franchise. I'm a loyal fan, and I won't ditch. That said, I am FURIOUS. Absolutely furious. We have the worst franchise in the conference. Our former DC just took a division rival into the NFCC in ONE year before got there in 30 years.

I'm sorry for those of you that don't like this, but I need to vent. Please, let me vent. I have to get my thoughts on this DISGRACEFUL situation we are in out. This thread is a safe space for those of you who would also like to vent about this franchise and what Jerry has done to it. I will now continue my venting and rant. I have to share my thoughts as a separate thread.

Jerry, you are a disgrace. You are an idiot. You suck! You don't know what you're doing. Think about this. There has never been a rookie QB to take a team to the SB. The COMMANDERS, who just changed owners in 2023 and are coached by OUR DC and have SEVERAL players with the Cowboys LAST SEASON. Jerry, YOU are the problem. It's not the coaches. It's not the players. It's YOU. It's embarrassing to see that the COMMANDERS changed owners and are back while JERRY is counting his money and taking the team to the Forbes Bowl. It's gross. The best thing I can say is it's a DISGRACE.

Seriously, is there a way to get Jerry to force sell like Washington did? I'm disgusted BECAUSE it's my team. The Cowboys are my team, and that won't change for me. But that said, this is DISGUSTING. I am DISGUSTED at Jerry.

Anyone else want to add in your vents and frustrations?
See you next August.

The Cowboys had to stink bad enough to be able to draft Aikman. The Skins had to stink bad enough to get their QB now.

All the coaching the world is meaningless if you don’t get the right QB.

Exactly, if he had an ounce of humility, he'd understand that what he's been trying to do has failed.

You're not wrong. I wanted Michael Penix in last years draft for that very reason. A great coach can elevate a good QB and vice versa. Tough to find either with poor management. Especially poor management that's content with being a fringe contender every year and doesn't seem to care about championships.

In only 15 years… I gotta laugh. That’s just stupid scratch-off odds.

The Cowboys are ‘winning’ the REVERSE LOTTO. They disprove the old saw that ‘even a blind squirrel…’. I now come back annually just to see how they will screw it up.

My expectations went out the window years ago. I can now only hope that they will accidentally trip and FALL into some great success. It is doubtful that would occur based on astute planning. But that’s okay - put me down for another scratch-off.

We were getting ready to draft Aikman and we were 3 years out from our last playoff appearance. I remember those days .yea it was rough but it wasn't 30 years rough. We weren't known as chokers. People laughed at us because they were jealous of all the success we had. Not the case anymore.1988 and 89 were really the only years we weren't competitive. I could feel we were on the upswing in 1990. There was a lot of hope.
me too. It was awesome.

Fans should read our team history before they start trashing us.

83-91 was without a NFC champ game. And it was a steep decline.

fans on here calling for an ownership change should look at 1984.

disaster.

If Jerry is still in charge, then you can tell what's going to happne in Dllas which is that they will not get anywhere in the playoffs. Jerry as GM is the single most reliable indicator about the Cowboys and playoff success in any given season.

Yep. The Cowboys don't have the normal cycle and Jerry's ineptness overcomes even blind luck, or chaos math.
