honestly, going 3 and 13 would be fantastic. possible new hc and he has a high draft pick to play with and we don't have to pay dak some king's ransom if we don't end up drafting another qb

Seriously. I don't think this cowboys team can beat Alabama...or LSU....or Auburn...or Clemson...or OU...or the other OU.....
Texas A&M would give these cowboys a good game.

As bad as the Cowboys are they beat all of those teams by 4 TDs. Seriously there is no comparing the NFL to college.

At this point JG can't turn it around. It looks like the team has quit on him. "Team Tank" might be the answer.

The thing is people are saying “ well Darnold was back “ . Darnold sucks , no way this team should lose that game.

I wouldn't be too sure about that.
Top college programs seem to be ahead of NFL in their scheme.

I don't want Garrett fired today or at any point before the end of the Week17 game. The worst thing that could happen is an interim HC (Richard) having a mini hot streak (like Garrett in 2010) and then Jerry being fooled into thinking he's got his guy. The defense is trash. When a guy who hasn't played in a month knows what you're doing, and carves you up, you're not HC material. Carroll got rid of him for a reason. I'd rather have Ken Norton, Jr. in 2020 than Richard.

Anyway, I don't see 3-13, but 5-11 or 4-12 is in play.

Philly - Loss (Philly will tear up the defense)
@NYG - Loss (Another mistake filled game that the Gints eke out)
Minn - Loss (Their D will flummox the Dallas offense, and Cook runs amok)
@Det - Loss (Lions D shuts it down and Stafford has his way)
@NE - Loss (Please)
Buff - Loss (toss up, but the Bill's defense will shut down the Dallas offense)
@CHI - Loss (Low scoring snoozefest that Chicago wins)
LAR - Win (Rams are a bigger mess)
@Philly - Loss (Philly will be rounding into playoff form.Yikes)
Wash - Win (Garret owns the skins)

5-11.

I can see losing the next 9 without much imagination. But closing with the Commanders would be tough to lose. But it's possible.
not really. other teams have some pride and try to get better. Us, not so much.

It's a reality
I'll bet 10k to anyone here that they won't

But what really cracks me up is that after 3 weeks, we had threads saying they were going 10-1 in first 11 games.
That was almost as silly as this thread...almost.

I hear what you are saying but I can see some positives to doing it now.
1) Richard is the only person I think you can promote to interim. Tell him that he probably won't get the job but that it will be great exposure for him to get other offers.
2) By declaring the job open now, any coaches interested in the job will not take other positions.
3) Get a jump on hiring (even if its behind the scenes til after the season)

All good points, but as for #3, they can do that without having to fire Garret. Campo wasn't fired until season's end in 2002, and they were talking to Parcells before that.

This has come up before. I don’t remember when (a few years ago I think, maybe when the Browns were going winless) but one of the local radio shows interviewed the head of one of the Las Vegas sports books. He was asked what the line would be for the best college team vs an historically bad NFL team. He said the line would open at 28 points. It’s a completely different level of play.

..meh, probably 7-9 or 6-10, ...which is just as bad.

So, we are now saying the team will lose every remaining game? lol

You can speak for yourself on that. Granted yesterday was a pretty big blow to the team, but saying we will lose the next 10 straight games (13 straight overall) is pretty knee jerk.

Back in the 70s, SB champions, Pitt.Steelers played the college all stars. The Steelers win, but I don't remember it being a blowout.
