There are many threads about personnel and coaching changes. Rightfully so. But none of this matters if you don't fix the fundamental problem: A total culture change.

The Dallas Cowboys are a culture of celebrity, building a brand and cash flow.

Winning is of no interest in the culture of this team. Any interest in winning is tied to their bottom line and fattening their own wallets.

It has been this way since Jerry bought the team. But Jimmy was able to ignore the extraneous stuff and focus on football. But since he left, the other stuff has overtaken this team.

Until this changes, nothing else matters

They got to finger a way to get rid of the polished corporate culture. Won’t happen till Jerry is done but more than likely lil stevie is just as corporate.

It's a country club. No one is afraid to mess up since nothing happens to them. Players are allowed to have the "aww shucks" attitude and get rich. That doesn't breed winners.

As long as Jerry Jones is alive this is one of the biggest joke franchises in the league. You have to pray Steven is not as bad. Joke franchise for 3 decades.
Chuckles has the first nickel that Booger ever gave him....it's now worn down to the width of a dime from taking it out of his pocket and looking at it every 5 minutes. He is tighter than Milburn Drysdale, and is the real reason why we dumpster dive during FA periods.

So why do fans keep coming back? When do they realize there is nothing in there and let Jerry know they are not buying anymore? How do you accomplish that?

I know I did already, but there are millions of Jerry-fools who just want to be seen on the jumbotron...

Well then the Cowboys will remain a joke franchise to be laughed at for years. Worst franchise in the league.

It's never going to change. This franchise is forever under the Jones' family name. We have to just pray to the football gods that we can get a coaching staff good enough to overcome them and bring us back to the promiseland once again.

Maybe one day it gets passed down to some Jones' kid that has no interest in playing GM and he hires a real GM. Most of us will be gone by then though.

Culture is underrated
This is the difference between the playoff advancers and going home early.

You've described the Cowboys organization right. celebrity, brand, a business flush with cash. The grand, vast stadium, the Star, prime time TV broadcasts.
Winning football? Uh, no. Without the total culture shift, we continue seeing a stunned Jerry after early playoff exits, looking like he lost his dog.

This is the culture. The brand is more important than winning championships.
