Played this on the old site and had some fun with it as it's not about players, it is about positions picked in order. The tricky part is accounting for trades.
The Cowboys have 2, 3, 4, 4, 5 and 7 round picks for a total of 6 picks. The game is simple, predict what position they will take with each pick. You get 6 points for each correct pick in order. Perfect score is 36, but wait, there's more. In case they add picks through trades, you will get additional points for correct position picks beyond the 6 they are starting with and it is advisable you do make predictions beyond that 6, just in case.
In case of a tie, we will go for two with predict the number of trades the Cowboys make once the draft begins. The extra point is predicting the number of total players drafted. I had considered the number of times they show Booger the Sad Clown because he doesn't have a 1st, during the 1st round. I would have put the O/U on that at 3. So, predict the number of trades and the total number of players picked as the tiebreaker.
The position choices are: QB, RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, CB, S, PK and P. The position is defined as what they last played in college, not what you think they may end up being. That's why I combined the OL and DL to make this simpler. You can pick the actual DL or OL position to show off your picking prowess but you will not get extra credit. You only get extra credit buying me drinks.
The deadline in Thursday at 7:00PM CDT. But wait you ask, the Cowboys don't pick until Friday, that's not fair. Well, life isn't fair and they could move up because Booger goes catatonic or finds the second bottle of JWB before the last pick of the 1st round.
Grand Prize was going to be a new car but Reality wouldn't part with his, some owner. So, you will just have to settle for the undying admiration of your fellow members and when we speak your name in our hallowed threads, it will always be with a respectful hushed whisper. And a hushed whisper is better than just a whisper and harder to execute.
I will tabulate the winner and announce that on Sunday or when rehab group therapy recesses, whichever comes first. If you decide to change your selections, please make a new post and delete the old one unless you still have time to edit.
