I purchased a Cowboys gnome that I saw in a sports shop on Saturday and set him on the end table next to my chair for the game on Saturday My son always has a couple of his friends come over to watch football (guy's day) on Sundays and this past weekend was no different. Everyone has a different team they cheer for and we have a great time making fun of each other, etc. Anyway, my son's buddy announces 5 minutes before the Cowboys game that he is betting $75 on the Eagles getting 3 1/2 points and that it's the best bet of the day. I told him he just p***ed $75 away and that he had also p***ed off the gnome. From that point on, everytime he wasn't paying attention I moved the gnome closer to him. By halftime it was right next to him and he kept telling me that the gnome was starting to freak him out with his devlish stare. I told him don't ever mess with the gnome. I can guarantee you that on Saturday night, the gnome will again assume his position next to me on the end table looking for Cowboy naysayers.

Make sure you invite your sons friend over too, he may be the lucky charm.

Also eat what you ate ,sit where you sat, drink what you drank etc.:laugh2:

LOL, I have already washed all the same clothes, underwear included, getting ready for Saturday night. Not taking any chances. And a friend wanted to come over to watch the game. I said, "No way man, you weren't here for the last game"! haha.

I thought that you aren't even supposed to change during a winning streak let alone wash... :D

I think being a little ripe is worth winning a play off game.

Not sure the Mrs. would agree, but hell, priorities man.;)

YOU WASHED YOUR CLOTHES????? NOOOOOOOOOO, YOU CAN'T DO THAT, YOU"RE MESSIING WITH FATE!!!!

Don't forget "Rij-Po-sish!" (Short for Original Position)

It was funny when something good happened while someone went to the toilet or kitchen because if the game turned for the worse, they'd end up having to watch the game from the kitchen or bathroom to bring back our good luck

We used to shout this during a game after someone moved from where they were previously sitting and shortly thereafter the game changed for the good or bad.

It was funny, someone would go get a coke or something, a bad play would happen and then everyone starts screaming:

Rij-Po-sish, Rij-Po-sish, Rij-Po-sish!!!

We also would occasionally chant "Pik-N-A-run-bak" three times fast as a group whenever we needed/wanted a turnover on D.

The first time we ever did it, it was in the 90's when Deon was playing. I can't remember the game, but we needed/wanted a turnover so I jumped up and said hurry everyone chant "Pick-N-run-bak" three times fast. There were about 20 of us and we all did the chant at the same time.

Then BOOM!!!!

Deon picks it off and runs it back for a TD. It was hilarious, everyone was going nuts.

Sadly, it's only happened one other time since

I recommend other Cowboy fans use this technique as I may have apparently used up my quota. Use them wisely and spread them evenly accross the playoffs and Super Bowl (fingers crossed)

We sing the Interception Song which is just repeating the word "interception" sung to the tune of the Hallelujah Chorus.

Just don't overuse it. You have to get a feel for the right moment, then sing it. It works, I swear!

I had a gnome during the 92 and 93 seasons. Kept him right on my tv. Brought us 2 SB wins. After the 2nd, a kid asked to see it at the party I was at, then left with it :banghead: We then went on to lose in the 94 game. What ever you do, keep the gnome!

The gnome rules and will be there. Anybody touches the gnome, they get whacked.
