If the Lions and Titans make the playoffs next weekend, it will give the Cowboys 7 wins over playoff teams during the regular season. That would tie for the most in NFL history. They’d be 7-2 overall against such teams in that scenario.

Also depending on outcomes Dallas could ultimately end up having played as many as 9 games against teams that make the playoffs, which would be the second most games a team has ever played against playoff teams and made the playoffs themselves.

And finally, Dallas will end up having played only 6 games against teams that were eliminated from playoff contention before the last week of the season. That’s already the third fewest in league history.

All would be franchise records in each category

In before the thread gets derailed.

Going into. the season, we played 7 teams from the playoffs from last season (counting the Eagles twice). So that is more like played 7 games against them.

We also had 2 stretches of 3 games in 12 days.
Yeah that 3 games in 12 days thing is nuts. For thanksgiving I get it but twice in the same season?

Remember when we had to do that and fly to England in 2014? Lol

so we get to be the answer to a trivia question. So what?
Means nothing if we do not get to at least the NFC Championship game

....and all of it is meaningless if they do not get to the NFC Championship game or better.

Also they could win the NFC Eeast. A team hasn't done that since 2004

One little...

Two little...

Three little...

GROUCHY SMURFS!

So you're going to be front and center pounding your chest over beating 7 playoff teams during the regular season if they get their butts handed to them and go 1 and done?

More power to you buddy. I have higher expectations and don't settle for meaningless stats like you.
