Nothing matters until the playoffs.

That used to be the measuring stick for this once great franchise.

Now we're one of only 5 teams that haven't been to a conference championship game in 23 years...

Off hand:
Detroit
Cleveland
Miami
Houston
Dallas
Go cry a river. We don't effect the game, so how the hell are we settling lol.

McCarthy has brought them to rise to the occasion against the top teams in the league

The bad: this team has a knack for playing down to their competition too

We are battle tested this year. NFC East has the best record and we came out well. Beat Minnesota, beat Bengals, beat the Eagles, beat last year’s Super Bowl champs.

Rodgers and Brady still have our number. But we’ll have to brush off the GOAT in round one no matter what.

Still… elephant in the room is that sudden defensive collapse. Always something every year in those trenches that bites us in the butt as we go against stronger Lines in the Tourney.

That’s not true. They don’t want to play Hurts right now. What that loss did was probably force them to start Hurts sooner than they would like. That loss was huge.
No it won't. They'll beat the living crap out of New Orleans with Gardner Minshew.

They have been doing a very good job all season long despite some minor flaws and one major flaw (loss to GB grrrrrr).

They have beaten everyone important and once again owned their division. It just happens to be that the Eagles decided that this year would be the time for another SB run. That's too bad but as of now it doesn't make me nervous.

But as far as I am concerned, after last season I stick with my strategy of not getting hyped up by regular season wins. January is where it counts and I wanna see this team perform THEN.

So as of now it's fun to watch the games. Of the four losses two shouldn't have happened but all in all Cooper set up a fine season and Dak is taking it home.

NFC is comically bad this year.

Wide open!

The Cowboys can beat any one of them (and really any team period) on a given Sunday.

Our trick will be (as a team) stringing together 4 straight vs high-end competition.

The Eagles were missing their team MVP, but I'll take the win anyway. Beating them in Philly with a full team will be tough, but, as they say, "and given Sunday"

Shhhh…….. That does not fit the narrative. Shut up the Cowboys suck and they beat two teams with Minshew and third Cousins at quarterback. Dak can’t beat good teams. He feasts on the NFC East. Dak has all these weapons on offense and the best offensive line in the history of football.:rolleyes:

So you're the like police now?

I was reminding the knee-jerkers of the reality of the situation.

Saturday didn't matter one bit. It changed nothing. It was fun for sure, but that opportunity was blown in Jacksonville.

And it all means bupkus

Look at who we have LOST to.
1) The greatest player to ever play the game.
2) MVP front runner.
3) One of the best QBs to ever play the game.
4) A young blue chipper who is starting to become a good one.

See everybody! THIS is perspective.

Well done, sir. You've captured the essence of that game and the situation perfectly.

Meh…..Jax is probably the hottest team in football besides SF and another OT loss to Rogers. At least we haven’t had that Denver game this year.

This last one didn’t matter?
I mean there’s so many ways you can spin that argument

it sounds silly

This game against the Eagles kind of mattered. It mathematically keeps us in the hunt for the 1st seed but we still need the Eagles to lose to both the Saints and Giants so don’t hold your breath.

What erod is trying to say is that while big regular season wins are nice and welcome, those pale in comparison to winning actual playoff games - which our team is obviously not good at getting for the past quarter century.

I think you can add Washington to that list.

They also have the best record in the NFC over the last 2 seasons.

If only we were more like those powerful Jets... they made it to the afc title game 2 times. Damn..... they have sucked the other 20 years, but ill be damned they had two good years.
Hey, the Jets won the Super Bowl 54 years ago.

It's the losing 3 games to teams with losing records that ruined their division hopes.

The playoffs give them a great chance to accomplish something meaningful.

The NFC sucks. It's there to be had.
