The Cowboys Have Made Moves - Just Not the Obvious Ones

Is that the same reason he kept JG (same offense) with Romo? again blaming Dak for everything only leaves you short of an explanation on like 20 years..what would he reason be for the other 20 years?
Romo had Garrett and linahan,Jerry took the play calling from Garrett, and SL took over and installed his offense.. Jerry hired MM,a known play caller but yet still insisted on keeping km and his offense for dak,so either Jerry loves the km offense or he doesn't think dak can learn the mm one.

How would you know that now? They are 6 and 3 with 8 games to play.

How would I know that? Because our run defense is terrible, our WRs outside of Lamb are nonexistent and our OL has one of the worst pass pro rate in football.

I’m enjoying the wins, but the NFC is awful and I have a very low expectations if we make the playoffs.

Run D yes. Pass pro and WR? No, those claims were all false.

You’re supposed to cover yourself in FA so you take draft the best talent in the draft. We should’ve drafted a swing OT / someone to compete with Steele and Washington has never been good.

Then we were forced into drafting OL / WR early. Tolbert has barely played and the OL is great against the run but below average in pass pro.

I agree things that make you go hmmm... Again it's headscratching to me that MM might get fired because he doesn't want to "Meddle" in KM's offense...seems wierd to me.
Is he allowed to "Meddle"?
KM is Jerry's guy, foisted on MM, just like Garrett was on Phillips.

Moore took over in Dak’s third year and he was already here, after Linehan dumbed down the offense for Dak and Dak also walked into the youngest team in the league.

And Jerry actually gave more power to Romo within the context of the offense they were running after running it for 7 years.

They could have easily changed the offense in Dak’s context.

They are certainly a lock for the playoffs. They probably will win at least 11 games and have one of the best records in the NFC.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they won 10/11 but it’s relative to this year and how awful the NFC is.

One we get to the playoffs and play teams with strong DLs and run games it will be a bad matchup.

the NFC, not named the NFC East, that argument doesn't hold water...

.It will be funny if the Cowboys end up with the best record in the NFC.

I mean . . . the season is only half way over now, so it's still possible we end up the number 1 seed.

low risk. safe. no impact

I disagree. I think they are low-risk, medium impact.. Not really high impact players. But sometimes all you need is to have an average impact.

Like Hendershot. He impacts the game when he's in there, because you have to account for him.

IMO, the Cowboys just need stick to running the ball. But they also need to be more creative on the road.

We keep finding the diamonds surrounded by trash that nobody else wanted. Its a shocker we don't win the Super Bowl every year.

Every year, a few of those guys end up breaking out. These can be practice squad players, or from the streets. But if you pay attention, it happens.

I'm not saying it's a guarantee. But they haven't sat on their hands...

They should be between 1 and 5. The Eagles won 8 games in a row. The Cowboys could too.

Agree with you.

Would you want to 'meddle' with an OC who wasn't your choice and was forced on you?

The only reason people are questioning the plays KM is calling is because of the execution.

Exactly.

The Kellen Moore hate is the silliest thing.

I would wager that most people who hate on Moore have significant others who they gripe to at during the game. And then never watch the replays. Or more importantly, press conferences to know that McCarthy is still overseeing the offensive game plan. So, it's a matter of being right or wrong to them.

Otherwise, he's doing a decent job.
