Hey Roy ! The post is self explanatory my Cowboy brotha! Please don't feign ignorance.

The message was to the OP ! He knows (as do you) what the message means. I'm not gonna argue my thoughts with anyone on the success this team displays year in and year out. The progress is unmeasurable , as you know. And look, I've been a fan since the Don Meredith, Don Perkins, Walt Garrison days. I don't go for this flailing around, can't challenge for a SB krap at all! And the turds just keep rolling downhill from the top!

And then someone wants to post or even has the audacity to post that our team has SB odds. Like my OP said . . . show me . . . we've had Jerrah's impotence on display for 27 years. I'm goin to die soon and I want to see some dominating excellence from the Cowboys before I check out!
We just made it the 2nd round of the playoffs. 12-5 two seasons in a row. If that upsets you that were considered one of the better teams then maybe its time to root for another team.

What kind of pathetic fan would be upset we have a good team? LOL

Maybe your just upset the team didnt crash and burn like thought it would.

"Cowboys are #5 in odds as a contender".................."DUH WAAAAAA were going to suck next year..............WAAAA"!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao2::lmao2:

Maybe take a hike? We dont need another troll.

Funny how when someone has a critique of Dallas you automatically accuse them of lies and of being a Philly fan.....does the name calling come soon after?
Clearly you cant handle someone complimenting the team or predicting them much better than your flawed analysis would predict.

Maybe stick to your Philly board a little more?

Did I say anything about anyone's feelings? No, I did not! I don't see how any oddsmaker can rank the favorable teams this early.
Not sure what part of this you are missing or are confused by.
It is not exactly mystical.
They are looking at a teams signed talent, free agents, expected schedule and cap/draft situations.
They are creating a lane for which people can bet. IF people do bet on one team in one manner heavily they will adjust the odds.

Cowboys fans unironically are crying because they have Dallas with odds that interrupt their cry fest.

Feel free to bet Dallas won't win it all!!!
Vegas will accept the bet.

You are sooo totally wrong with take on this trying to impose thought processes / emotions on me that I don't really have. You can be better than the BS response you came back with. I know, I've seen very excellent post from you.

I don't want the team to crash and burn and why you'd assume I do is so off base. I'm not trolling and not taking a hike.

I just have higher standards than you do. Sure I love having a winning regular season record gotta do that to get into the playoffs. 2nd round of the playoffs is peanuts (we lost ... pathetically to a no-name QB whom our division foe hammered). 1st or 2nd round playoffs are fine as you gotta get there to advance but not the standard I desire of the Cowboys. Watching the excellence of Landry and Jimmy Johnson tells me we can do a helluva lot better with competent and aggressive leadership at the top .

I'm sorry you felt the need to be so pissy on my demand for better performance from the team and decrying fans talking SB for this team which has loosened its bowel in the bed every rare time it gets into the playoffs. Fans should demand more. I'm sorry you settle for the lack of playoff success. That's a problem here . . . fans bellying up to Booger's Kool aide bar and just happy to get to the dance even though your date is dancing with everyone else.

Lost pathetically? They lost by 7 points after traveling from coast to coast and having 2.5 days of shorter rest than the 49ers. What is pathetic about that? Also Jerry has won 3 Super Bowls. Landry was excellent but he only won 2 Super Bowls.

what does the + 600 etc mean?
lets say I wanted to bet on the cowboys, for 1000.00 how much would I win?
A $1,000 bet at +600 would pay $7,000. $6,000 for the win, plus your original wager.

Feeling lucky?

Before there are any games to bet on these rosters will change dramatically. That's what will cause the odds to be adjusted, not the betting right now.

Ok thanks, so basically it is 6 x the amount you bet? + plus your original wager

they used to do it in odds like 12-1 5-1 etc. and 600 would be 6-1

Your standards are nothing compared to mine. You just pout and say silly things. Making the playoffs twice in a row and wing a playoff game is no time to pout.

The team improved and got younger. Time to retool not crash and burn.

Cry babies will keep crying. Only team that won was KC.

Gee I wonder.

And it’s know nothing not no nothing. Lol

Actually, it's no nothing as in your value to this board with your constant "I am all-knowing" BS posts.

What is pathetic about it???? The fact they should have won that game and were outclassed. They should have beat this team that was wounded at their most important position after all the kid had no experience in the position that requires it the most. All those excuses you listed are the tactic of weak minded teams/fans and losers! And the most pathetic thing is we can't win past the wild card round for 25 years. I expect more excellence. We all should.

Jerry hired the right guy to win the 3 SB's in the 1990's and his talent at playoff winning has been on display since those teams degenerated without Jimmy. Landry regularly threatened in the playoffs and went to 5 SB's , won two Super Bowl titles (in Super Bowl VI and XII[2]) in a 9 year stretch, five NFC titles, and 13 divisional titles. 20 consecutive winning seasons 1965 to 1985. That's playoff excellence and it is non-existent for 25 years and you seem satisfied.

Are you postulating that the Cowboys have done anything even remotely similar . . . remotely ???????

I'm amazed that Cowboy fans defend this ineptness. We have become the Detroit Lions and portions of this fanbase are fine with it . . . SMDH .

You guys like to complain about everything. We will have the same team coming off back to back 12 win season so them having the 5th best odds seems about right. What teams are you putting ahead of them that are behind them.
All they want to do is whine and complain. They want us to be at the bottom so they can gloat they were right.
So the 28 years crowd will whine in soon about this. As they can't look forward to a new season, and do not want to admit 12 wins 2 years in a row looks good with the core team returning.

We will not lose but maybe 4 players in FA, Hankins (doubtful), Peters (doubtful), Wilson, LVE that may mean anything, maybe Fowler and McGovern as well. As where Philly has 8 of 11 starters just on defense they can lose, or pay big $$$ to keep. RB Sanders and I think a few OL are FA's as well.
That alone can flip us ahead of them in the odds.

Hilarious to watch these people complain about the 5th best odds or having a great team.

We didnt win the SB so they want to blame the QB, dump him and send our team into the bowels of the NFL.

And why? Because they are a bunch of weak kneed cry babies.
They don't understand about 2 - 12 game winning seasons.
They want to blame the QB for the 5 losses, but not give him credit for 12 wins (though Rush, lead team, won some of those).
The games they won, they have other reasons why Dallas won or the other team lost.

So no off-season player moves have taken place yet but the hack RJ Ochoa is doing his rah rah Dallas BS already.
What is BS about it, he is a fan like the rest of us. He is entitled to his opinion.

I think I and some others have issues with team odds because it is meaningless this time of year and only benefits those that gamble. As for blaming Dak for losses, when a QB leads the league in INT's in spite of missing 5 games that QB kind of puts a spotlight on himself for blame.

More lies again seeing as how I never predicted anything for Dallas. That said, how can you make any odds when free agency, the draft, and trades/releases have yet to take place nor training camp and the pre-season?

So hypothetically this hack Ochoa has Dallas with the 5th best odds...so what happens if Dak breaks his leg during training camp or the pre-season? Then what?
What? Why are you calling him a hack, did you read the article. Those are not his odds....it is the oddsmakers not him.
