That’s not the point, you’re glossing over the fact that they could offer less. Just because the Cowboys turned it down doesn’t mean they shouldn’t make an offer; maybe the Cowboys would take less. No offers at all, zero.
Yes, the Cowboys have the right to demand two first-round picks, but that doesn’t mean you can’t propose something else.
Do I really have to keep repeating this? We’re going in circles. I’m saying if teams were truly interested in him and thought he was the king of all wide receivers, they would have made some kind of offer, just like with AJ Brown, who’s been on the market for a while and might be headed to New England. The rumors have been swirling. It doesn’t mean he’ll be traded, but at least we know there are teams showing interest.
No, he’s not on the tag, but that doesn’t matter. Even if he were on the tag, unsigned, or required two first-round picks to make a deal, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t offer something else to the Cowboys and see if they take it.
The Cowboys have the right to accept any offer, even for less compensation, if they want to. So why not test it? If they wanted George badly enough, they would’ve made some kind of offer. This is the Dallas Cowboy, no story, rumor, or even a made-up scenario has mentioned a single offer or interest from any team. That’s odd and telling. Again, teams can offer anything for him, and the Cowboys have the right to refuse unless it’s two first-round picks. See the difference?
Why not bring it to the Dallas Cowboys just to see if they'll bite? I can tell you why because that's how little the market and the interest is as we speak, it might change but right now George has no suitors of any kind, not even low ballers, that could have come to Jerry and said hey how about one first or how about a 1st and a 2nd or 1st and a 3rd?
That is my point there isn't a single offer at all And again maybe that'll change soon, but I find that very telling of his market, which right now he doesn't have one, because the Cowboys might take a first and again that could change during the draft ,
what if they are considering that and they pick a receiver in the first round? And then turn around and trade Pickens anyway?
