"able to"

Being able to rotate 3 guys with mediocre or worse play is not the kind of depth I'm interested in.

Peters has been the best, and he's been mediocre. McGovern and Farniok have played poorly, and Biadasz hasn't been much better.

Peters probably ramps up to a decent to good LG.

I expected better with McGovern, and he has been better in previous years. But this year he's been poor, as has been Farniok, and they're our depth for the entire oline, whether they're filling in for the interior oline, or backfilling the oline if a T goes down and we move Peters out.
Conner is a right side player, putting him in on the left was a mistake, its like putting Tyler at rt tackle ..the best line would be,smith Peter's badass Zack and steel, let these guys jell together and stop with the rotation bs..they need the continuity.

Played out much better than I thought it would.
The Peters move was a good signing.
Just wished they would have done it sooner so he could have gotten into game shape to start the season.
I was wrong about Tyler, he has been an asset from the getgo.

I really don't think Peters was interested in signing any sooner than he did.

Of the 3 guys, 2 have never approached NFL average play and one wasn't on the roster until recently and can't yet play FT. I'd say the concerns were justified and still are since Peters is likely not here next year and I'd also say I don't see having those 3 at LG would be considered "unheard of in the NFL".

We're most likely looking at drafting a left guard next year within the first three rounds. McGovern and Peters will be gone and Farniok will be the starter until the drafted player is ready to take over. Farniok hasn't been terrible, but I think we'll want him replaced, much like we did with Williams, because he's not going to be the optimal starter.

My hope was that Tyron would stay mostly healthy, Tyler would develop into a dominant left guard and either Ball or Waletzko would show promising signs of being the next left tackle. Out of the two, I have some hope for Waletzko, but it's likely that he'll only end up being a top-quality backup at best here because we won't move Tyler.

We might could get Peters to sign on for another year if he plays well and shows he can be healthy, but like with Tyron, his body is a ticking time bomb that could explode at any time.
