Not a top heavy draft. Otherwise the slot receivers wouldn't have been picked in the 1st round. But there is good depth in the draft at the positions the Cowboys need for RB & TE. The positions with little depth were/are interior Dline and interior Oline. If the Cowboys get a Guard at #58, they will have filled the two positions that were most shallow in the draft, and can spend their next 3 picks for TE, RB and CB.

Also, I like both of the WR's from Tennessee.

If you watch the post draft presser keep an eye on Will Mcclay as Jerry keeps saying Mazi was 13 or 14 on their board. I think Jerry realized he was wrong and made a joke about it.

This was my thinking as well. I said some time ago that we would get an OL/DT in rounds one and two. Then address RB/TE in three and four.

Maybe the board was set up that way, so whoever they selected, was a set up. As to saying they picked the best on the board without a 1st round grade.
Just my conspiracy theory for the day.

It’s definitely was the weakest aspect of the team. Green Bay was running on 3rd and 4 just to avoid seeing our pass rush and making it.

Every year they always say this stuff. Every year they are always getting a player at a pick well below draft “grade”. It’s like clockwork. Watch they’ll get a 3rd round pick they have graded as a 2nd.

I’ve heard that most teams only had 10-12 1st round grades when the norm is usually 20-21

Gonna be some potential underachievers with this 1st round crop…..Anthony Richardson may be one of them

The players good enough this year weren’t really good enough. Awful 1st round. I’ve never seen so many easy trades either.

BOOM! Some only had 9. I read many places there was no difference between the player at 16 and 36. Just a matter of what individual team needs.
