IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys released two more players from their 90-man roster Wednesday, bringing their total number of available slots to three.

The two cuts, last-minute casualties as the team prepares to leave for training camp, were quarterback Dalton Williams and tackle J.B. Shugarts. Combined with last week’s release of fullback Lawrence Vickers, the moves give the Cowboys several open spots on their preseason roster ahead of Sunday’s first training camp practice.

It was speculated this week that the team might attempt to find some replacements among its quarterback and wide receiver corps. The Cowboys worked out quarterbacks Alex Tanney and Chase Clement, as well as receivers DeWayne Pearce and Lavasier Tuinei on Tuesday.

You never know when you find a player that way. They spend time working on that everyday. If you get a STs ace or some depth or even a starter then that's golden. That's a huge step in the cap game. If you go back and look at the roster over the years you will find players who appeared to come from out of nowhere. These days players are so screened you have a harder time but they're still out there every year. While a lot more end up on the PS than on the roster some of those find their way to the roster.

So yeah keep churning.

love your avatar! That was my favorite album when I was like 12!! My mom saw the cover and was like "Keep that ugly thing out of my sight!"

I was 9 when it came from Santa as a Christmas present. I still remember opening the album and staring at the inner gatefold of the Love Gun stage for hours. From 73 to 77 KISS really churned out some great stuff. Shame drugs and egos killed such great chemistry on stage.
