The Cowboys should trade Tyler Smith

Think about it. The eagles got a 2nd and 6th for Cam Jurgens. I think Dallas may be able to get a late 1st or 2nd and 3rd for Tyler. The offense was better with Bass starting. You can have two all pro OG’s and doesn’t really do much with an average QB and average RB. Use the picks to invest in DEF.

I would have rather done it with Pickens…we have shown to play well with a good line in the past….i can’t even remember the last time a team won the SB with two all pro WRs, I can’t remember any. We had a top tier offense under McCarthy, literally number 1 or top 4 or so a couple times….with average wr2. We can afford two wr at the expense os the D….not to mention, Lamb is gonna get most of the balls anyway, Pickens would only get second level numbers.

Moving on from players when you can get the most for them can often be a smart move, assuming you have a smart GM. Unfortunately, our GM is a football idiot with a terrible track record.

You guys really, really need to get over the HC/coordinator magic. Players determine 95% of a game outcome (and thus player acquisition and evaluation is paramount to great organizations). This agonizing over the coaching is silly. Prime Belichick might have one more win with this group.

Tyler Smith is 25 years old. He has 10 years left as a starting guard? You don't just trade good players and hope to replace them with the draft picks you get back.

I don’t care where Tyler Smith was drafted he has regressed. He is not a dominant player and he is getting paid like one. TJ Bass is more than enough and gets paid 1/6 of that salary. Use resources wiser. The icing on the cake is they will probably make Tyler Booker the highest paid Guard in the league in two years. Two 30 million OG’s. All you can do is laugh.

Coaching matters-some. Execution always matters-but is more on the players than the coaches. Great talent always trumps great coaching-and it’s by a landslide.

It could be that fans are overestimating Dallas’s talent level on offense.
